As a person whos only experince with painting was with finger paint and glitter +40 years ago I found this really easy to use in painting my desktop computer case.
Thanks so much for this video! I wanted to wait on airbrushing my beskar armor until you uploaded just in case you had any tips and tricks on working with Duralumen, and this is great!
Excellent video! Question for you…. How far will a 4oz bottle go for a Mando suit? I did a test section on the Mando butt plate (small piece) and only spayed half of the piece and it seems like the Duralumen in the bottle dropped about a 1/2 inch from where it originally was when full. Is that about right?
I have been using your colora for 1 year and I am very happy! It's gorgeous and easy to apply. I wanted to use the HVLP gun to cover with 2K clear. I'm writing from Italy and I can't find the paint you recommend in the video. Can you give me some advice on the brand of paint available in Italy to use so as not to have problems? Thank you so much!
Hello!I seen your video after vhen I order the paint from you.I have couple of question which maybe stupid but not really clear to me. Basically you have five steps. 1 use the high quality primer, its clear to me. 2 u use high quality clear coat,2K the question is,what's the finish?high gloss or any other finish u used? u used a water based acrylic spray which is gloss warnish.I also understand this but why we have to use this coat after the clear coat?Or I use one from those two spray? 3 and 4 steps is clear. 5 clear coat with high quality clear(2k automotive)same question:what's the finish?High gloss? How many hours or day we need between the coats? Thank you for your answer and sorry for any mistype in my English.I'm Hungarian
Any chance anyone knows exactly what cloth was used for the polishing bit? I have plenty of microfiber cloths but I would like to be sure about it. Thank you!
I’m looking to paint a 3D resin printed Mandalorian model. I live in a small apartment with poor (no) ventilation. So no rattle cans, or toxic fumes. What airbrushable gloss primer, clear coat would you recommend? Is this paint good for small, fine details?
Piggy backing off of this - What do you think would work best to get any residual compound off from polishing or from the oils on your hands?@@PrintsandProps
Hmm. I've done something wrong. My duralumen came out completely cloudy. The clear coat was like glass, but the duralumen might a well have been a dull gray. 😑
@@PrintsandProps Finally got around to buying the paint from the Etsy! Do you recommend a 2k primer that would work well with an air brush that I could find in the states?
Sand with a high sand paper (your polishing compound will say what number to use normally 1200-2000) then using a polishing compound or multiple compound to cut and buff like any automotive finishing.
I’m honestly not sure. I have a 30 gallon compressor and my pressure elbow was all the way out. So basically as much pressure as your compressor can supply
Hey man, so can you just clarify because it wasn’t super clear in the video, you can use any gloss base coat for duralumen? And it will take practically any type of clear coat? I want to avoid using expensive 2k clears. I want to be able to get quality chrome effects but using rattle can paints for the base coat and tinted top coats. It’s this possible?
“Floor finish” usually refers to a water based acrylic varnish that is milky white in the bottle but dries clear. That type of floor finish works yes. But I recommend liquitex acrylic gloss medium thinner with water for a water based clear coat
