Spray Chrome, will this new coating work? 

Just watched a video that used the Quick Shine multi floor finish on a model with chrome and the chrome stayed very shiny and did not dull...

Keep testing different shine products! I’d love to see if you can find that perfect replacement to pledge

Try with Revell Chrome spray and clear coat it..

Quickshine from homedepot seems to work as well as future/pledge

Pledge revive it works well on the Molotow Liquid Chrome. It also works well on Tamiya and Vallejo paints.

These are all interesting experiences, for example, to dilute colors I use windshield washer fluid from cars. Years ago, I was working as an electroplating technician, I used to take advantage of a customer of mine who chromed and silvered plastic products. I used to make resin artificials, then I would take them to my client and we would do etching in 30 percent solution with hydrochloric acid, pre palladium, immersion in palladium solution, chemical copper, acid electrolytic copper, then highly polished, then polished nickel and at the end silver or gold, at the finem in both cases a hoe which I then replaced with hairspray that ladies use when they style their hair, and the more lousy the hairspray the better.😁

I 2nd the comment about Walmart. Many times the same products are in the Spanish aisle under a different name but same mfgr. Like “Pledge” and “Favor”.

Walmart has pledge "revive it" floor polish. Same stuff as the pledge you have its just in a different label. And its not $65

I got lucky and still have my pledge bottle, but I had to buy the tre wax “before” i found it and I’ll try the Molotow plus tre wax finish. You should try the Revell Chrom SPray and see if it would work also!

Interesting video. So the pledge future was discontinued and the pledge floor wax as well or is the latter just costly? I have yet to attempt chrome like finishes. The silver plate look really nice but that process is more elaborate than I care to get involved with. Thanx for the video

Could you use epoxy to seal silver or chromed finishes? And is a super reflective surface better than a dull one? Some lures work better once they're beat up and dulled a little.

A couple of thoughts , would the new stuff take a light polishing or maybe it could be thinned with something

BTW for your previous video I wanted so badly to say three pounds six point two five ounces (in case it was your sense of humor in the irony that you'd have told us the difficult part already) but someone beat me to that number. So asking my subconscious (or whatever helps one guess), that bass has got to be much closer to three than four pounds, so picking the biggest spread before the first quarter my entry is 3lb 3.26oz. Great video! A couple questions for you. How durable is the Trewax, and can it be applied with an airbrush? And were you curing it with UV light?

in one of your older vids you mentioned being able to use a midcoat to be able to cleat over spaz stix. what can you use? I have to use spray chrome in an automotive use and it needs to be clearcoated for durability and unfortunately i cant use wax coating. what can i spray down after the chrome and before the clear to allow it to stay looking chrome but be able to put 2k or 1k or any other clear over it that s durable enough on a wheel

Thanks Franco! Having worked with engineers my whole career your testing methodology is familiar! Have you tried using a clear lacquer? It's often used to protect metal, might work for your silver coating - a dab of clear nail polish would tell you if it's compatible. Don't think it would work on the silver/chrome painted surfaces though. Cheers!

Thanks for this video. I don’t do anything silver other than regular silver airbrush paint as a base. But, that said… Is there a usage for this floor wax using colours? Would there be a benefit for this? Maybe to layer paint schemes instead of putting layers of epoxy to create depth? Just wondering….. thank you again for all you do! 👍🏻🇨🇦🎣

As a label printer since 1973 …. We deal with a lot of uv cured hi gloss varnishes that are used to gloss up our labels 4$ lb. 36$ gal /9 lbs Any label shops near you?
