An open club face will give you a slice. Here you can learn to square up the club face and hit it longer and straighter then ever before...
Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.
Long and straight is every ones goal but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can get better.
Find what inspires you. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.
Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.

I've watched thousands of golf videos made by very highly respected instructors, including those that Marcus recommends, and learned a lot about golf. However, it's these videos that Marcus has produced that seemed to have put all of the elements that work for me together. My game has radically improved so that I'm now a little better than bogey golf with what I believe to be a clear path towards reaching a very low or no handicap status soon. Thank you, Marcus. One of the things that I learned from the host of one of the sites Marcus supports is that effective practice should show results in a week or two. (I bet he's checking out Marcus' site often, too. He's no fool.) If your practice is not yielding noticeable results, you're either doing it wrong or you need a different approach. Everybody has a unique brain. Everybody sees, hears, and understands things differently. Ask questions and keep looking. Isn't that what the best players in the world at any sport or any other performance activities, do? As for me, I'll be feasting on Marcus' videos for a long time.

🤣 "it's a sad day, I hit it too short" it's about to be a good day for me at the range working on timing my release. I just started a couple days ago on my release and had incredible effortless drives. and now you started popping up on my RU-vid suggestions. I don't believe in coincidences. you sir just cemented that I am going in the right direction. subscribed. thank you!!

I like the idea of the trail hand passing the lead hand.Perhaps you could show us a face on view so we can see where in the swing that the trail hand passes the lead hand. Also how do we accomplish this feat?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
Depending on the grip you have it happens in a little different places but the ball will tell you if you do it early or late. I did a series on how to use your hands. Start here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JYJrkN991ac.htmlsi=CcBdLhZFU011W0mT

Stopping the lead hand and letting the trail hand overtake at or just before the ball is a really good way of thinking about the release. Great advice!

@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
Hi. We are actually moving the hands in relationship to each other to create this release and it works great but as always can be tough to learn. 👍

would you consider showing a lesson with one of your students in English? Would be great to watch. I used your ideas on the range today and I could make the "push with the trail hand" ...I never realized that I was pulling with the left hand so much. Your videos are a golfers dream come true.

Marcus , I’m 64 and 4.2 handicap ,ty so much for an amazing fresh approach to the golf swing. It’s having a great impact on my game. There’s been better impact ,some added distance,less pain.I hope to meet you sometime. I live in Orlando fla, lake Nona area. I have a question : you talk about trail hand overtaking lead hand , I’m good with that…. But you also talk about trail arm overtaking lead arm … how do you do that without feeling like you’re rolling the arms , which could promote a hook. Thank you sooo much for what you’re putting out to the golf community. Blessings to you. Kevin Durant
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 месяца назад
Hi Kevin. let's hope I can return to Orlando sometime in the future. As long as we let the trail arm or hand overtake on the way up and not around there will be very little rolling of the wrists. It's when the club face is turned down we get in trouble. 😊

Ulnar deviation, i.e. flexing the wrists in the direction of the little finger, the ulna bone, also moves the clubface more closed. See the Impact Snap training device for illustration.

What is the difference rolling the club head versus release ?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 месяца назад
Rolling the club is a way to release it. The rolling motion is very hard to do with good timing but it will release the club.
@mplunky1
@mplunky1 2 года назад
I understand the principle of allowing your Trail hand to overtake your lead hand to correctly square & release without rolling so does this mean that you are using your Trail hand in a scooping palm down to palm up motion to achieve this & not by hand rotation?...or are I misunderstanding you. Thanks.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 года назад
That is correct. 👍

I’m starting to understand the mechanics now , at last. Brilliant . I’m a lefty , your little finger of your left hand is is overlapped on the right hand finger next to the thumb or have you four fingers gripping the grip with the left hand ?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 года назад
It*s an overlap of the little finger. 👍

The trail hand and passing the lead hand looks like rolling your wrists? Not sure how to do this?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad

We need to learn to do it with or without rolling. They feel similar and look similar, the ball will tell you what you did.

brilliant Marcus! so timing the release is the most important part of a golf swing?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 года назад
Timing the release is necessary for any and all golf swings. You can hit any shot just by adjusting timing. If you get it right it is magic. 👍
@rajanrai732

Hi Marcus , I found this when I was looking through your lessons. I hope you find this message. Exactly when does trail hand pass lead hand ?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
It’s not possible to say exactly when it happens. If you have a strong grip it happens later than if you have a weak grip. It’s erlier with a driver, later with a wood and even later with an iron. We need to let the ball guide us to find the correct timing. I you slice/fade and want to hit a draw the release is to late.
