How To: Starlink Router Factory Reset 

it's surprising how good looking the design of the starlink router is, but its more surprising how it doesn't have a simple reset button.

So happy I found this. Thank you very much. It was so easy and worked perfectly. The instructions Starlink gave were ridiculously hard and complicated to follow.

I originally ordered a Starlink Standard Actuated kit in May 2023 (I'm in a rural area that didn't offer reliable high-speed internet) and used Starlink successfully for several months. I subsequently was offered high-speed internet by my local phone company (they received grant money to install a 40-foot pole at my location to mount a dish). Once the new system was installed I disconnected Starlink service. At that time, I did not think to factory reset my router BEFORE disconnecting service. Can I still do a factory reset of the router by plugging it in and unplugging six times? Router is 802.11ac Dual Band/Wi-Fi5/with mesh capability. I want the router to be free of any previous info as I am now going to list my Starlink kit at Ebay. Thanks in advance for your response.

I'm having problems with the electricity in my region when it rains very heavily because it's a very remote area and this problem is causing the router to reset. It bothers me a lot because I have to reset the Wi-Fi settings, I believe there is a reset button installed on the router. would solve the problem. You have to check this, don't leave the reset through the electrical connector, this is not good.

Thank you for this, I have a different issue, I had an electrical surge, and the router wouldn't power up. Is it possible to: 1. fix the faulty router? If yes, how? 2. If no, can I migrate my current account (existing subscription) to a new router?

nope it doesn't i Requested RMA but the cost is client's so i entered dhl and needed 240€ to send it. Now i am with a disconnected starling and i pay 70€ per month for nothing.... there is no way to send it back. Just a tip that maybe to some work is to remove the elastic protector from router's plug an slide easier and doesn't need to plug it full. Do that 6 times fast. To some it worked

Well, my problem is slightly different. When I plug it in, the white light underneath it doesn’t come on, I tried a different charging cord(my laptop charger) and the white light underneath is still not coming on. I don’t know if to take the router to some who could open it up and fix it… I’m writing from Nigeria , thank you

To do any configure on bypass mode in order to use a 3rd part router, signing in is a must. But, messages I read, going into bypass mode indicates “the router does not appear to be associated with Starlink. If the problem persist, try rebooting your router”. I’ve even tried to reboot, unplug 6 times, and wait for the “Starlink” to appear and clicked it to do a reconfigure to do a “By pass enable”. Still, I’m unable to advance because the router is Not On Account- which I can’t access. Help……..
