This is crazy...I did this the other day and didn't even know it was a "thing" until today. Standing outside popular chicken restaurant waiting for curbside. Attractive middle aged woman standing next to me. She asked a passing employee if the store had gift cards. Employee said she would check. While continuing to wait, I felt the Marni bug in my ear...I turned and looked at her, said "I don't know if they sell them in the stores now, but I'm almost sure you could buy them online...then said "wow, 30 gift cards - must be for an office party". She said, "yeah sort of, office promotion thing". I followed with "I've never had a boss like that". She laughed, "oh I'm just the bosses' lackey", and it went back and forth like that for several minutes. It wasn't until it was over and she got her gift cards and left (damn you, restaurant that is closed on Sundays!), that I realized Marni's methods, even though I didn't know the OSA at the time, do work. The wedding ring made me keep my distance and I was just being a normal (average) guy talking to an above-average, yet married, girl. Had she been single and I had actually been trying, this old guy with no skills could have probably taken it to the next level without true effort. These methods work, guys. I walked away feeling confident and even attractive from her semi-flirty talk...that confidence led me to be more aggressive that same day with a different girl. And I will be seeing *that* girl again Monday. Be yourself. Don't be a douche. Don't drop one-line. Be someone YOU might find interesting to talk to. I never bring up looks - the last thing I want them to think is that is why I chose them, even though I know and they know that it is. Just be you, listen to what Marni tells you and don't be scared to try it. What's the worst that can happen, other than you learn what doesn't work and improve for the next attempt! ;)

Idk, at the share part, the whole time i was thinking "What if she doesn`t fucking care about learning any of that information about me?" It just seems this method is a very easy way to get awkward silences and one-word answers when you get to the ask part. It looks like it would come off as trying REALLY hard to pull her into a conversation and show how interesting you are. I've found it quite easy to start conversations if there exists some obvious topic related to where we are: for example, if at the gym she has unusually strong technique, I would have no problem commenting on that. But what if she's like most gym-goers and is doing triceps kickbacks with 5lbs? ...I would have no idea what to say.

The guy in your example is not very confident , he's not assertive....He was lucky to get to the first base with the girl because she was expecting him and she was told by you to accept him whatever he says ... OSA might be a great approach mechanism but without confidence, without being a leader, without being the man, you don't go anywhere...
