This is a simple, but fairly detailed look at how I start the fire in our wood stove most mornings. We heat our small, 2 story home in Alaska solely with wood, and it works very well for us.
I'm sure there are other folks who are better at starting fires and explaining the process than I am, but this is what works for us. (And yes, it did take longer to get the fire going since I was videoing the whole process.)
