Just tried this , was badass I thought I was going to have to go to the shop but this worked , the gas in the saw was black but I empty it out and refilled with the correct mix and it wasn’t working until I tried this
Hi Edgar, sorry you didn't have a better experience with one of our saws. When you say "no service backup", are you referring to an experience with our repair service or something else? Feel free to reach out with more detail here or via email to hiltisocial@hilti.com. If something is wrong we would like a chance to fix it. Thanks! Dan, social media team
You don't put out any of the carburetor preset adjustments for the Hilti DSH700. I'm working on a saw for a customer. It starts and runs ok but falls on its face when you go to idle. It has a new cylinder and piston. I tried setting the carburetor at 2 turns and even went up to 2 and a half. I'm trying to pressure test the crankcase for air leaks but the real small spark plug hole is odd and I can't get an adapter to work in it to pressure test it properly.
It’s probably stolen , repairs at hilti is the ONLY way to go , if it’s yours they have a really nice system that keeps track of every purchase , they fix it for free most time or replace it at no cost , and if your warranty is out then they give you a fair quote 100$ to fix a 900 tool is reasonable doesn’t make sense to repair it outside of hilti
