I'm doing the hybrid method. Renovating pools part-time for a company, servicing my pools part-time as well 😃 also wanted to mention you make good videos. I got sick of training people and decided to take on the challenge of building the route, up to 27/50. Good luck out there, stay cool! Feel free to talk shop

I was wanting to start my own business with pools, had worked as a tech for 3 years. Ended up getting into sales with a new pool company and got great sales and marketing tactics, that's one way to go, can either stay witha. growing business or ready grown one, or use your new skills to start your own

You're a smart guy dude, I appreciate your input at the closing. I'm in that exact situation right now been working for a company for a while ready to start my own business. But I really like the owner and don't want to leave him hanging I like the strategy you used at the end it seems like it works out well for everybody.

Hybrid. I was fortunate to know someone who allowed me to work them off. At the same time I went door to door and with other marketing techniques and was able to stay afloat for a year until the term ended on the pools. Good video. Had no intention to watch part 1 & 2 when I stumbled across your video but it was a good listen and perspective.

hard to find someone willing to let you work the pools off. I wish there was a lot more of that going on in the industry. most guys want 12x the monthly service rate in cash up front which is pretty unrealistic in my opinion.

Really enjoying this series man, thanks for sharing! Question: do your residential customers sign a contract or an agreement for service with you, and how do you go about collecting payment from most customers in your area?

definitely need a service agreement it solidifies the deal and all customer are on autopay with card on file

Hi, I'm in Surprise snd was able to build up a 52 pool route in 2 months...all jobs in 3 subdivisions from nextdoor then did the same sort of thing with the route in Scottsdale got it up to 63 jobs over there realized I didn't want to go over there working so I sold that route 454 thousand cash I'm starting to think the big money is just building up routes real quick and selling them

@@inyourpoolbusiness I did! Going great. Picked up 6 more pools, so I'm at 26 total. I think if I did it again, I would not buy a route, but just do some advertising myself. But, still very happy about the entire thing.

He is a business question Why do most pool service guys in America use of ftrucks all very large trucks Are you regularly going to haul 6 ton Would a standard ranger not feel fit the small service van Is it a tax deductions to consume more gas than a smaller vehicle (Yes I don’t understand the American system but I am curious) I am Australian-based Thanks in a In Advance
@inyourpoolbusiness
@inyourpoolbusiness 3 года назад
The poolwerx guys here in my town (from Australia) run service vans. Most service techs run smaller trucks (rangers, tacomas). Lots of owner operators drive bigger trucks because it is a work/personal use combo vehicle. Also, owner operators run bigger trucks because they can fit more parts in bigger trucks. I have a single cab tundra but I really could use a double cab just to carry more spare parts. You want to be able to fix something on the spot without having to run to the parts house to get what you need. Time is money my friend

80 pools a week sounds like a lot to me. I do hvac water treatment and 80 accounts a month is a good amount of business. how do you service 16 accounts a day. is it full maintenance?

I have a few questions. do I need any license or CPO just to do maintenance? What would be the average to charge if I am just getting started?. Thank you, I an from California.
@inyourpoolbusiness
@inyourpoolbusiness Год назад
licensing depends on location so check with other pool pros around you. Pricing also depends on location. Florida is low end because they are almost all covered enclosures and don't get dirty but texas is high because of driving distance between pools and flooding into the pool with nasty clean ups. Pull up routes for sale in your area and see what they are charing per pool for a starting point.

you might want to use a pool route broker like poolroutesales.com or sbpoolroutes.com theres also other just do a search for pool routes for sales and find brokers
