As a guy who replaces stuff on old atvs not new atvs Old atvs are easy to hotwire as their more simple and when a person comes in saying they lost their key we either take the ignition and look at the mechanism and smelt another one or if its messed we will change out the ignition with another one then boom And if somone stole an atv the person will have to bring papers for it or look on the data base and see if it belongs to the person
If i want to remove the ignition and replace it with a switch, how should i do it? My thinking was to wire together the red and black and run that to the on position and then wire together the ground and cutoff switch and run that to the off position, is this correct or should i just cap off the ground abd cutoff switch?
Nolan Tonkin it’s not dangerous for you as it’s only a 12 volt system but could blow a fuse if you don’t connect the wires right (on the arctic cat is either black and red or green and white)
