How to hot wire an ATV, Start a stranded Quad easily! lost key easy fix, temporarily disconnect a key switch, Honda ATV key switch bypass, Key Switch Bypass, ATV Hot Wire, 4 wheeler Hot wire, Quad Hot Wire, Harvey Spooner, 11_21_2018,
Thanks good video, now I'll go see if I can get my O2 talon quad started tomorrow so I don't have a key for it, then I'll just order a new one for like 13 bucks online, but at least I can check everything out by hot wiring it. By the way when you short something out that's a negative thing, you are completing the connection not "shorting" it out. It's just semantics but I thought I would put you up on that
Tht was easy thank you very much I ride a lil 110 84 trail bike when I do irragation for work and lost the key . doing tht job on foot would just not work so this helped me out alot
Thank you very much. The wiring on your quad is very similar to the wiring on my Chinese 110. So i was able to figure out that my ignition switch was faulty and can now get a new one.
Hey thanks a million to show the hotwiring. I got a Bashan workerbear 200cc that has been standing for 2 years. did not get it started. have the key but its all coroded beyond repair and red cable off. did what you said and guess what it works and tries to start. will give it some ether. Thanks from a happy Swedish man
I hooked my 06 honda recon up to a switch because my key broke and I was tired of the shitty job they guy before me did at drilling the ignition. So as i was doing it i made sure it would run hit the killswitch and blew a fuse by the battery there are two both 15s and inline there little black boxes and of course easy to change.
Honda 300 fourtrax is red to black and pink to pink with white stripe. Easy to blow the fuse beside the battery box. Might be best to remove battery cable first. Bad thing about these is you have to remove front rack and fenders to get to junction box.
If i want to remove the ignition and replace it with a switch, how should i do it? My thinking was to wire together the red and black and run that to the on position and then wire together the ground and cutoff switch and run that to the off position, is this correct or should i just cap off the ground abd cutoff switch?
I have a kolt 90 alpha sport. 2 stroke. I replaced stator wire harness and all electrical new carb. New switches. The harness is not the one that went to it and the 4 wheeler had the break lever that has to be held in to start the harness I bought don't have a connection for it and the bike turns over but wont run. What am I doing wrong
I have a question Harvey my kids tried to get the four wheeler started because they lost the key and they were trying to hot wire it and they unplugged every wire that’s plugged in and I don’t know what order they go in I hope you can help me out and I have a Honda 90 by the way and the wires look similar to the ones in the video if you can help me it would mean a lot thank you and I hope you respond and I found the key that’s why I am trying to get the wires back together
Inappropriate title man. Avid atv riders don't want Joe Public coming along and stealing their atv off a trail...Police can stop us from riding for simple reasons like...proof of insurance...or we have to go get a helmet before we continue. If you have any ideas like this...they should be left to properly trained technicians or skilled mechanics. Thanks SMH at least change the title to something less suggestive.
