Definitely. Always have a small pack of them with me. Most times I’ll put them on a regular jig head or a roadrunner jig. I also like using them for spinnerbait trailers.
I’m very new to fishing. This is the same Walmart rod I have been using and I like it quite a lot. Granted I don’t have any experience with other rods😅
lol for $10 it’s ok. Definitely a starter rod. The thing I really don’t like about it is the reel’s drag. It took me longer than my other reels to find the right setting. Lost a nice catfish at one point cause the drag was too tight. Still, it’s not bad for the price or for new anglers.
@@alaye5583 Drag is that knob on the top of your reel. If you loosen it, you can pull the line out more easily. If you tighten it, the line won't come off of the spool. It usually clicks when the line is coming off. You set it so if the fish pulls too hard, the line will come off of the real and it won't break so you lose the fish.
@@BratFam the creek is tucked back there passed lake 33. Follow the one way road all the way back into the tree line. There's a little parking area with a couple of short trails that lead to the creek. Normally, the creek is shallow enough to wade. It's a nice stretch with good sunfish and small bass and cats. There's a lot of carp back there too.
