Make sure oil level is correct, make sure spark plug boot is making good contact on spark plug (not loose sitting, it should be clicked onto spark plug). Make sure you have enough gas in the gas tank to run machine and it is fresh. If all else fails the use this video to diagnose a " no start condition" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v5upi9C-_KE.html.

No need to disconnect the battery as long as your charging the battery once a month when not in use, you should be ok. Remember, if your battery dies between charges, you may want to consider a new battery. Batteries that fail week to week are bad and should be replaced. Just a little helpful tip.
I cannot answer that. But you should be able to figure it out by looking up the start up amps and running amps of the generator and appliances you want to run.
It depends on the generator. Some do and some don’t. The one in this video does and the reason why I know that is you check the battery with a volt meter when the machine is not running. It should read around 12 volts, then start the engine and check volts while running. If the machine is charging, the voltage will show 13 volts or more.
I would say to be on the safe side. 20 minutes. That will get good fuel from the tank through the fuel line and carburetor. Try and also keep the fuel tank 3/4 to full at all times. It will keep tank condensation down and the larger amount of fuel sitting the longer it will stay fresh. Use fuel stabilizer too
