sh3magnificent I am and this gave me so much hope since it's only two of us Lesstakeoff.com it's a small start up and I'm worried people will not like what I sell but after watching this gave me so much hope
I have for the longest wanted to start my own online boutique and this was quite helpful. Is it ok if you can send me your email you some questions because I do have a few. I'm starting from the ground up
I would love to see an updated video,..part 2. I've been going to atl market for some time now as an event planner. I've been thinking of going into online boutique. You did a great job explaining the process in the first video. Thank you
Meg, could you do another follow up on this after tax season. Maybe a Q and A! Just found your periscope, would love to be on another one! Great video!!!
OMG Meg!!! Thank-you soooooo much for this video! The info you provided & just you keeping it real is so greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work girlfriend! And oh...you really cracked me up! LOL! Thanks again!!! :-)
Thank you so much for this video. I recently started my online boutique selling handmade African goods that personally go and get from Africa. Like handmade leather and fur bags, wallets, rugs, jewelry. I enjoyed your video and I hope you do more.
Watching your video gave me hope that 2017 I can start my online boutique. Your video was real and you weren't afraid to speak of successes and flaws; it gives a cluless wanna be self-starter like myself inspiration, thank you! Question: Do you name your clothes or is that the name when you purchased the items? Went to your website and I love it!
Could you please share with me the name of the website thg has all your wholesalers in one spot? I believe you said it was something like B2B but I can not find it. Thanks for sharing your info. Absolutely love OMB!
Thank you so much for this video! You are an answer to my prayers. Do you do any drop shipping and you've been in business for a year? When you mention "Market" is that in L.A.?
Would love a update to how the boutique is doing. I had a retail store that went under in 2014 and I'm restarting from scratch all online and doing vendor events.
I have definitely run into some of the same issues that you described with my inventory. I did not like Shopify and I really couldn't afford their services plus they were double charging me. I don't currently have a blog, but I definitely need to start to drive traffic. What other sources of traffic do you think has helped with new following? I started to gain following by doing local expos and events, but then I moved away from that following for a day job so I have currently put the business down, but would like to start it back up.
hi. ok i'm confused about your business structure.. first you said you formed an llc for $300. then you said you are a sole proprietorship. you cant be ceo of a proprietorship that's a dba business structure which means you are responsible if people sue you and you are financially responsible for all aspects of your business. so did you do both?
...under an LLC you have to decide how you want to be taxed; sole proprietor, S Corp, partnership, or C corp. An LLC can have a CEO managing partner, member, etc. The formal structure is not as specific as a corporation.
Hi Meg, Thank you so much for this video! Question, how many items would you suggest starting with for inventory and how many packs of each type? I am struggling with budgeting out what the initial inventory cost would be starting out? Thanks!
