Great video! Love your quick reference circles! My very first right seat jet ride/fly was in a 501SP. A little scary tho as the flaps jammed to zero after we took off. Made for a fast landing in the middle of the night at KSDL. It had just come out of mtce.

My first flying job was copilot/ mechanic in a 551 39 years ago. It was the best airplane to start into turbine flying and also for an A&P to start working on turbine aircraft. It was simple systems and an easy airplane to fly. Retired last year out of a Global 6000. The Citation series are one of the most reliable airplanes out there.

Noam - GREAT VIDEO! Thanks for the jet startup tour... It's great to see the startup sequence on an older, not all glass avionics flight deck.... Nifty to see the relatively "steam punk" gauges. FADEC is cool but takes the fun out of it! This video was a great complement to your "Cockpit tour" video. Questions: Are you planning any avionics upgrades? I know that is incredibly expensive, just curious... LOVE the sound of the engines starting - what's the status of the engines (JT15D-1?) on N70CG?

Howdy Noam, I have heard about "cooking" your engine if you don't start it right, so it appears the ITT is what you watch to prevent that. Could you perhaps explain the potential issues you might run into, or actually have run into, on an engine start. If the ITT is starting to runaway, do you simply pull the thoattles all the way back, or do you have to kill the engine? Would the suspected issue be that the plane is facing the wrong way and the blades are spinning backwards? If the winds shift, do you have them tow the plane into the wind to ensure a safe start? So many questions :) Thank you for another great video!

Hi Noam, the company I fly for bought a 501 and I need to do the type rating, any suggestions where? I'm not in the USA but we don't have any facilities offering training, so anywhere in the US would be good...thanks

Probably best to not post this information since private planes are not a secure as commercial. This should be complicated and unknown for people out of the business.
