@@RiqB pls answer me bro i have osgood schlatters on my right knee and im 13 i train daily and my vert is 32 inches can i do plyos even tho my knee tends to hurt a bit?
You're right. I'm 6'3" and skinny. I started doing Plyometrics and after a few weeks my knees started to hurt. This video found me right on time. I was mad (on myself) that people shorter than me could dunk and I let my ego make the decision of doing Plyo. Thank you so much!
I'm 28 now and I hope I can dunk by the end of the next year, and I'm starting my training from this week. I wanna build routines and traning programs for myself and this video was what I needed the most. I really wanted to know the risk of injuries when I do plyometric training and what I need to prepare for those intense programs. Thank you man.
1.injury prevention develop a foubdation of strength 10 full depth body squats Pullups pushups split squats body weight 2 to 4 weeks isometrics ...jump rope light plyos Build up DONT RUSH Challenge yourself daily
I'm tryna train for a 2.8 meter dunk and half my hand already reaches the rim, i think one week of light training would be good (ex. 1 or 2 mins of calf raise holds per hour or so and some other excercices that i already do in school) Any tips if possible?? would love to hear some
I am 54 and my joints and muscles, then flexible and useful, now are made of rebars. Lately I've been following Mr Riq's here and it is working! Not like when I was in my 20's but way better than at 53! So... If I can, you definitely can.
Yo dude I've been loving your content as a guy of similar stature to yourself. I was wondering for the prerequisite exercises you listed, I can do everything else no problem, but I'm only able to do about 5 pullups in a row. At my level would you say I should work on pullups or would I be good to go into some easy-medium (bodyweight since I don't have access to weights :( )plyo workouts? Thanks again and keep posting the great content :)
the 10 pullups is various orders of magnitude harder than any of the other stuff. also largely irrelevant to dunking. not sure why he included that all. doing 5 pullups is really really hard, well done mate!
@@joewi100 the 10 pullups is for sure the hardest thing on the list, although I've noticed that arms do play a significant role in how high you jump. Bu still, you don't need to be that insanely strong to jump. Also, thanks man! I'm still working on getting to 10, but I've already started with the exercises in this video
I don’t think you know how this works… that was way too informational - not 100% hype and wishful thinking. LOL. Thanks for the actually useful info!!!
