How to start using Private Email service for a domain name registered with Namecheap

In this how-to, you’ll learn what you should do to start using Private Email for the domain registered with Namecheap:
- order a Private Email subscription
- configure your Namecheap-registered domain name to use it with Private Email
- create a Private Email mailbox.
Please note that only one email service can be used for a certain domain name at a time. If there’s another email service already set up for the domain, continuing this process will deactivate it.

This not accurate anymore. There is no private email drop down option and limited support through namecheap.

Hello, If your domain is pointed to third-party nameservers, you will not see the drop-down option in your account. Instead, it is needed to create Private Email MX records in your account with DNS/hosting provider. Hey, In mailbox name, where you put "admin" at the last step, I wrote "contact" and it says anyway : "This is a required field." when I want to save the changes to have my created email adress. What should I do please ?

Hi! If you use the custom (hosting) DNS, it is not required to switch nameservers to BasicDNS. You only need to set up all necessary host records on the DNS provider side. i dont belive this type of serices are around !! our emails are down from last two weeks and we are only geeting auto genrated emails ...we are loosing our customers due to this issue 2nd thing we are unable to change our MX records as the hosting provider is namecheap butt still no responce
