@@malvin3421 it takes time to build. I upgraded last year to @Fanatec CSL Elite wheel base with Inverted Pedals & BMW GT Wheel. But only b/c I downloaded bad drivers onto the Logitech wheel & it stopped working.
For what it's worth I just took 13 seconds off my lap times from the default settings by following your recommendations and plan on getting faster. They don't match you settings but I followed your thoughts and here it is... You may not be a teacher, and yes, you jump around a bit but you present the information from a driver's feel basis and not what is theoretical with the settings. Your descriptions of feel is what put me on track to my own settings. All the best!
I've been sim racing for a few years now and I still feel like a beginner, it's such a deep hobby. I've read so many books and studied so many videos on RU-vid. I love the depth, but it's got quite a learning curve. Thanks for such a good video Jardier! You always manage to show how FUN sim racing is! :)
Damn why didn't I think of that, at first, I found a foldable small table, usually meant to put a meal on it for one person or something like that, even with a T150, I had to put 70 pounds of dumbbells to keep the thing stable lol
Having been a member of Jardier's community for a few years now, I can tell you they are a fine group of people. I am fairly new with ACC, 3 weeks on a wheel and racing merc gt4, vantage gt4 and merc gt3. Subbed now and will start watching the back catalogue to learn more :-). It's an addictive game. I so hope they continue support and context (even content beyond British Gt pack - because this game blows all other gt simulation attempts out of the water I feel). (edit: I played on a controller before, and managed to be pretty ok on 90% AI, but wasn't as consistent. Because I loved the game so much, I just went and bought a rig & wheel. Went for a Formula Carbon V2)
Still can't believe that we got like the same Sim Racing gear combination. :D December 2019 I upgraded from my G29 + Wheel Stand to a Fanatec CSW 2.5, CSL Elite P1, Formula V2, CSL Elite Pedals LC and everything attached to a GT Omega ART Cockpit with XL RS Seat. :'D I even remember using your code for my GT Omega stuff. :D (Also bought the floor mat and single monitor stand for my 35" screen). Keep it up, buddy. :)
Okay. I played this on console for the first time yesterday. I loved it, but despite being a bit of a sim fan I needed some more help getting used to the intricacies of Assetto Corsa. I started a career and got no guide on how to make a pit stop or what all the displays in the cockpit or HUD were showing. It’s a little thrown straight in the deep end! My hot tip, practice pit entry and making a pit stop work before a real race!
ACC on Controller takes a bit of practice and some adjustments and fine tuning to the settings, but once you figure it out it really does feel great even on a controller! I have been racing on an Xbox One controller for over a year and love it. Saving for a wheel though :)
I started to play games like Forza Motorsport, then I moved to Project Cars 1, on the Xbox, playing with controller. Then AC came out and I decided to buy a wheel. I bought the G920 and I have it for 3 years! My next purchase will be a gaming PC and then something comfortable to seat, but I don't know when I'm getting those things. For now, I'm having fun with what the consoles can offer me and with my kitchen chair!
Greetings from Malaysia! I am a new simracer, like many others, came into this hobby during the lockdown and I think I will definitely stay in it for the long haul. Played Rally and AC on PS4 with a controller, then moved on to G29, got a Rig and now 1.5 months later, I have a TM300RS and a host of Thrustmaster ecosystem. I wanted to go with Fanatec, but they wouldn't ship to my country for whatever reason and their support is horrendous when it comes to replying emails. I have loved your videos very much Jardier and I especially liked the one where you were chasing your friend for 2 hours trying to pass him. You had my attention and I am subscribed.
@@Jardier Yes, it is a real shame. They don't have any business acumen. Not like as if the DHL or FEDEX can't ship. I receive parcels regularly. Oh well, their lost. Keep up the good videos man, I am really thrilled for the 23rd.
Yes. Started out trying all the cars and got frustrated. Finally got in the Ferrari and I have it pretty wired now. Aggressive set up is pretty good as long as tire pressure is within range (27.5-28) and will give you good results in a race.
Awesome video dude. Love your tutorials. Can’t wait for the PS4 version. Looks like I’ve got a lot to learn. Very fed up with GTS, it’s too broken,so really looking forward to ACC. Can’t wait for your next video mate ✊
Thanks for the awesome info and video! The word you were working hard to get to is "configurability", this is when you can change part and pieces in and out. :) Your English is great btw!
Top advice bro, I been building up my car skills, Mastering the throttle an 2 foot driving now, But soon as i have got better i will be entering online races, Looking forward too Tuesday, Had too pre-order for the PS4, Will be on number 10 i my sim racing game line up, Might even look for an upgrade from the Logitech, Then keep Logi for back up, I wanna see what the fuss is about with the direct drive wheels, I only ever used this Logitech really, Been using your basic set, By the time you got the play seat an everything else it is a small fortune, But using sim racing too help with depression an complex PTSD, It suck's having PTSD, But between my electric monster scooter, Sim racing, An cannabis with the shrink appointments, lol, It is helping me, But Sim racing is helping the most, If you suffer with PTSD then you know about grounding, Playing Sim racing is a way of grounding yourself, It is for me, Even depression Sim racing can help with, It helps take your mind away from bad thoughts an put's serotonin levels in your brain, Endorphins get's released, The natural chemical that helps your brain lol, It's the same why people loves drugs so much, lol, it's a good addiction too have Sim racing if you ask me, lol, It's why it costs a small fortune, Coz its good for you, lol, Anything that's good for you costs a fortune, Even my herb cost's me a small fortune, lol..... Yeah I am thinking of jumping online in next week or so, You is psychic giving me advice on how online racing is set up, I am sure there is a lot more, Will check some more of your vid's, By the likes you knows what you is on about, I have gone off GT Sport since i bought Assetto ultimate, The simulation is loads better, An for me the simulation of the actual car you driving matters more than if a few trees looks better, I can't understand why people are moaning at 30 frames when they using a console Pro or not, I would never buy normal if there was an option for a Pro even if it do cost more, An for £35 what more do you want, Question there is would they have paid more like £50-60 if it had more, I knows i would pay more for the VR option, Like Dirt Rally, Gutted no VR option, But yeah looking forward too getting Assetto Comp on Tuesday, I wont be sleeping Tuesday night, I am going too start online when it comes anyways, Thanks for the advice......................
Nice and brief introduction, I just think there is so much more to starting with sim racing and assestto corsa competizione... so I dedicate my channel to this whole journey :) Maybe when I am fast enough we can race each other online ;)
Great video mate and your English is fine. Keep them coming 👍. Recently built my first PC and bought this. I’m playing with an Xbox pad. It’s not easy but it’s very rewarding if you put the effort in. I’m loving it. My favourite car by far is the Porsche, using the aggressive setup. It turns in really nicely and has great punch out of the corners.
Thank you for the summarized introduction! Can't wait to finally play the game on PS4 in about a week. Hopefully the content and multiplayer won't be cut down to much due to hardware limitations of the console.
Coming from GPL, I watched a couple of your videos and streams and have decided to take the plunge into ACC. My *ancient* TM Force Feedback Pro is crashing the sim every time I try to enter Setup>Controls page so now I need to find a new wheel setup. I tried with daughters X-box controller but that's a big NO, I guess a 1m35 around Brands GP is not going to cut it ;)! Now I can hardly wait to try it with a working wheel. Great videos, thanks for all your hard work. You have inspired me, and hope to meet you on the track one day soon!
Real car seat from the auto Wreckers is best way , I got pt cruiser seat for $50 , and bolted onto my rig (Home made)...also newer players turn off points if you want to jump straight in and race full grid on Bathurst or other hard circuits ,I learnt the hard way if you spin out up the mountain(the ESSES) every bloody Ai car will plough into you causing Massive OBWP spike!.....👍
Thurstmaster PC racer, can't reccommed this wheel enough (PC only). It does not come with pedals so it pushes close to 1k for both depending on the pedals you buy. but they go on sale.
Thanks great tutorial, got this on pre order hoping for good things. Only got a thrustmaster T150 and homemade wooden rig but should be okay it works quite well with pc2. Only a week left to wait.
Great video Jards, amazing that it has taken this long for it to come to my attention. As for your "little fluffs" with the English language, I know English people who speak it worse than you & I sincerely think your English is very good, it's certainly better than my French & Spanish & I learnt those when I was at school (ok yes, that was 40 years ago, but even so ......) Keep it up mate & keep bringing out great videos like this, particularly loved your 12 hours of Bathurst the other week (21st March ??? 28th March ??? 4th April ???) & was it a week before that when you & Jimmy did a race together .... 6 hours of Bathurst was it, memory's going, that's the problem of getting old you see !!!! Anyway, it was great & I really enjoyed watching you doing those races, so please keep them coming.
Nice video man! And believe me your English is not that bad, i respect it how you make videos in another language than your foreign language. Keep it going!
I can’t wait to see it on ps4. My concern is about a Ps5 transition (assuming that in ps5 ia possible to play ps4 games). About that I don’t know if my wheel (t300 rs) will be compatible for ps5 but I thinking already to move to a direct drive wheel (fanatec) for console. I guess all this requires a lot of money 😂😂😂
In the end, yes it does require quite a bit of money. However, I would assume that the T300 wheel would be PS5 compatible. Especially if it's really going to be backwards compatible this time around. They say that every console release, but have yet to do it. All in all, the better racing games are on PC, which obviously is a lot more money than a console setup.
Nice video. Can't wait to play this next week. You have played both Project cars 2 and acc. Witch would you say is better? Or are they just different in there own ways?
Great videos. I'm trying to set up a custom championship with 1 track. I want to test multiple cars against the AI on the same track. I selected quick race then went to championship. I don't see open series as an option. I'm assuming that is what is needed to select a custom track. Ideas? Thx. (just moved from GT7 to ACC...and not going back!)
Hi Jardier - great vid. I am on a PS4 Pro and have pre-ordered ACC as I love GT3 racing. What are your thoughts around the locked 30fps on both consoles ? Will be hoping that when the next gen PS5 is launched Kunos can patch ACC to bring it upto a higher level.
I love Assetto Corsa Competizione, I need to get it on my ps4 and ps5. And this was recorded on my birthday.......I turned 13.......yeah a I'm young gamer.
I pre-ordered the game today for my Xbox One, l can’t wait for it. This is the first time l am playing the game so l have no idea which car to use. Some cars l have in mind is the Aston Martin, Nissan and Audi. So which car do you recommend me using?
From all you wrote I would say Audi will be the fastest overall (its killer on Spa for example) but we yet dont know differences between PC and console version in terms of physics so need to wait for final decission :)
Thx for this Video. Got my fanatec Rig and Cockpit. Come from f1 and this game is really Different! Love the Physics and have to learn so much more... Play on ps4. Really Nice feeling, exept graphics and frame rate on ps4. They habe to fix it!!! Thx
Another great video, I preordered it for the Xbox because of your videos. I have a TX F1 wheel with the playseat challenge chair. I would love to upgrade to a Fanatec but a lot of £‘s, why did you choose the ART and not the Pro cockpit? Keep up the great work 👍
Original GT Omega Pro cockpit is still in my basement since 2011, Ive upgraded to ART as I wanted more "comfort" to walk around etc. Its basically little sacrifice over "movement" :)
Preordered ACC for PS4! Unfortunately my wheel did broke (TM 300) and currently without a proper wheel 😟 - Fanatec is the one interested, because a bit disappointed on TM durability.
I've had T150 Ferrari and it broked after year and a half, now i have G923 and i'm very happy with it,especially happy with the pedals, never back to thrustmaster again,so many people are disappointed from their durability, but my next upgrade will be definitely fanatec stuff!
I know it’s a bit late but is the Audi R8 a good car to try master(because I prefer the McLaren 720 and Audi) I just don’t know which one to try practice and get use to
Would be very cool to see a video going over the cars in the game and how they perform relative to each other. Sometimes I can't tell if the cars I'm using are just slow or I'm just slow.
Most GT cars today have Abs as a function mate so keep it on! You won't win any points for turning it off its necessary to the driving of GT3 and GT4 cars in real life so keep it on!
