I’m glad it worked but before I would do that to an engine that has sat for years would be to pull all the plugs, lube up the cylinders, change the oil and coolant, crank and compression check all cylinders and then remote fuel the engine with an auxiliary fuel tank and then attempt starting it.
Just tried that. The rag I used instead of a sock caught fire. A fire in the middle of your RV is not recommended. Believe me. Luckily I killed it quick with the pan cover.
Always run ona jerry can of clean fuel until its home to drop tanks ,flush and clean. All youre doing is putting shit into the fuel system. IM A BOOMER AND EVEN I KNOW THAT
wow never start a car that has been sitting for several years on the old gas in the main tank. use only fresh. clean and drain the tanks so you don't have issues down the rood .
