im 18 , (&) ii am very lucky to have gotten a part time job as a technician while im in college starting at $17 a hour - the pay is good for the job- but its basics so very slow at learning alot as in i like a new obstacle.. im currently in college and networking is definitely my passion- some how configuring cisco switches (&) routers and etc. just came to me so easily ... rather than my other classes as in computer programming.. the instructor never taught in there anyways so lol. me myself, love to learn new things daily ... i started the job in August .. ill probably definitely keep it .. until after i graduate college- and really take my degree on into networking field.. dont get me wrong the job is good for the pay + you get a mileage check as well. The work is just not as fun like you said I work " alone " soo as well as me fixing peoples conputers and etc. It would also be nice to learn from someone else as well . The issues be basic honestly.. tickets are similar to " chromebook screen needs to be repaired " -- " computer has a virus can we keep it or no " not bad at all honestly, my passion is networking for sure. Building (&) configuring switches and routers - (&) then seeing everything ping / communicate in the end is so satisfying to me. Honestly thinking about maybe after college moving states (&) finding a job in the networking side of things.
This sounds so stupid and I'm embarrassed, but there was a part during this video where I actually started to cry as a real plan of action and clarity in direction started to form amidst the overwhelming mess of certifications and recommendations. Thank you~

😊This video been very helpful for me, I'm 25, don't have an IT background and just decided to enter into IT, I want to go in system admin by getting Linux certification, but my elder brother told me that I should have prior knowledge of window administration and Networking, I'm learning windows 10 administration these days, but I was confused for which network certification should I go for, But after watching dozens of videos comparing different certs and considering I don't have any knowledge or experience of IT, now decided I'm gonna get my N+ certification first then go For RHCSA.

I had already done my Diploma in IT Networking but that was 10 years ago and now I want to try and revive some memo about it. I love your videos and have watched the one about doing your CCNA and not waste time and effort doing CompTia Nwtk + ..thank goodness i watched your video because I was going to do it. So my question is, I live in the UK, can we join in and is this qualification recognized here in the UK?
Yes Maria, I have a few students from UK and they did the CCNA. But be careful, remember you need to know how to differentiate yourself from everyone else once you go through the job interview process.

I have A+, Security+ in May or June Then going to get CCNA which will complete my A.S Degree in IT. Then going for CISCO Cyber Ops Cert and CYSA. Can't get job with A+

This is basically my take away from this - you teach a combination of hard technical skills along with soft social skills - that is the method? Computer networking along with people networking? It's not so much that you'll make six figures being a networking person in 4 - 6 months, it's that you'll be an IT Director or some other person in management who has some technical skills? Not asking for your own secret blend of spices, but it does sound like you took some life / career coaching classes and then combined them with your own knowledge of IT. Does that sum it up?
