I am 54 years old. I have 2 bus. Adm. Degrees from Penn State. I spent 30 sucessful years in retail MGMT peaking at 75k in 2016. Over 1 million stores have closed in the last decade, coupled with age discrimination. I have been making poverty level wages of 13k-22k since. 4 years. Im fed up because tje jobs now only pay $10 -$12 an hour and they are back breaking. I need a 9 month accelerated program with a high placement rate. I hope this is the answer I am looking for. Otherwise i will be forced to sell drugs
Start with an IT Helpdesk job to get into the industry while you work on your certificates. A+ / Network+ / Security+ / CCNA Get the certs and some experience and you’re looking at a $60-100k job depending on your location within 2 years.
This is really good stuff. Doesnt seem bias to me at all. Unfortunately, I got burnt out doing CCNA, so I'm going back doing A+. CONTEXT: I interviewed for an actual technical role within my current company and found there was a lot of knowledge that I didn't have (basic troubleshooting). A+ will allow me to get Help Desk role as my next step up from my current role. A+ will also increase my confidence in I.T. and continuing to study for CCNA. I've already paid for core 1 so might as well pay for core 2 to get at least ONE cert under my belt to make myself more marketable and fill in the gaps of my resume. Not only that, I actually enjoy learning A+ stuff. Since I already know a lot of material, I can get that cert within 2 months total.
This just made me more excited to go into the Network Engineering Field. I'm a 21 year old college student and have no experience in the field whatsoever, so watching this video has definitely given me a lot to think about and study. I cant wait to get started! Thanks for the amazing video Jorge!

Jorge.....I LOVE your honesty!!! This video gave me goosebumps! I am new to IT and have been self-studying for the CCNA and I got discouraged along the way. You have given me back the confidence to continue pursuing a career in IT!!!! Gracias!!!!!

My plan is to get certified with Cisco ccna + comptia linux plus + vmware vca and then get a job and while in that job learn pyton and get AWS cloud + comptia Pentest and get a another high paying job

Hello I have been following you for some time and I feel that the way you teach is the right way (Watching from Sweden btw). I'm 21 years old and I have my CCNA not the new one though. I have not worked on anything that is IT related. I know what a router and a switch is and how the different protocols work, but I feel like something is missing, and I somehow don't feel confident enough to attack the market with good knowledge and not go in as a beginner. What do you think I should do??
There will be something out there for beginners if they work at getting information. Be prepared by studying whatever material you can gwt your hands on. Do labs, or take free programming courses. You don't have to pay to get certain study tutors out in the RU-vid circles. There are good IT people who can see all the technical aspects for you and teach about concepts in network engineering. VERY USEFUL. Good luck.
I got CCNA certified today. (19yrs) It has been one of the most difficult process in my life so far. I’m knowledgeable of your advice on story telling IF I get an interview. Any advice on job application tips? Edit: Special thanks to your channel. All your videos have been very motivating and inspiring. I'm aiming for CCNP soon. I'll update on how everything goes in the next few weeks in terms of the job prospects. I already got several referrals. God bless
About to turn 22 and finishing my A+,all i know is that i should do N+ but im looking for the knowledge that will get me the💰...damn this vid is very informative thanks!
Hey Jorge, I am brand new and have no experience. My sister in laws boyfriend has been doing IT for a long time and he suggested to me that I get A+, N+, Sec+ and then CCNA. I see a lot of people doing that. But I like your information here and I am just having conflicting thoughts right now.
Hey Sudwip Kumar I am Glad I could help! stay tuned of upcoming videos and new things that I am going to be offering in the following months to help you guys
Great informative video! I'm a Cybersecurity student in college and have a Cisco class. What's the most highest paying position in this field? I'm planning to have a CCNA.
Hey Gloire, Thanks for your comment, stay tuned to my channel for the next videos and don’t forget to subscribe and share the content if you think it may be useful for someone else.
How is cyber security? I see a lot of ads for a place here in orlando. 1 year, live classes (not virtual)7 am - 1pm 4 days a week but it costs $20k. They make you do a 4 week mini class for $500. Before the whole thing and if u don't like they refund $250. As the drop out rate is extremely high. By the way i don't need 120k, as i have learned ro live on much less, but it does not allow for emergencies like a refrigerator needing replaced, or a new car, and I am not saving any money, I am also not saving towards retirement anymore. If I could make 120k after learning how to be so frugal, I could pack so much more away in savings and have a comfortable life instead of constantly looking for used items to replace broken items in my home or doing it myself when I have no idea what I'm doing such as replacing the plumbing. Does anyone know of a program that does not charge $20,000 for a year??? Or is this the price I must pay in order to get to the annual $120k?
@@NetworkEngineerAcademy I don't think I can sell the voucher but will definitely take it though so I can certified N+ but advice do I go for the CCNA after taking my N+??
Hey thank you for taking the time to write a comment stay tuned for the new Videos and content that is coming soon on my channel don't forget to like and share my video if you think that can help other individual to open their mind to new way of learning.
I'm not currently in IT but looking to get into network/cyber security after help desk... What about skipping getting A+ seeing I know most of the material? Do a refresher and then study Network+ but get Security+ cert and CCNA cert? I'm not in a major rush to get a help desk job seeing it would be a pay cut from where I'm at.
I know about network and servers (windows server ad, etc...) already but the problem is that, I know the theoretical part in network and lack in the practical part. My question is: to learn for CCNA, do I have to have the equipments such as router, switch, and network adaptors, etc...? It's so difficult to only learn it theoretically without real life scenario.
So after CCNA cert, you can get a high-paying job even without experience? I was looking at jobs and they all require 3-5 years' experience. I am new to certs so please correct me if I am wrong. I am also 19 and was thinking about going to college for Computer Science or Computer engineering. But if I just need this cert to make decent money, then I can still go to college while gaining experience within the IT community.
How much is your coaching program. I’m new in this area but I really want to learn but it seems there’s so much information. I just started a Master of Cyber security (entry level) but I’m worried that what I’m learning in class won’t be enough to secure a job.
Let's have a call, this way I can explain to you more about the program, and give you a few points that I know will help you to approach your IT career. Send an email here... jorge@networkengineeracademy.com
It's "Comp-TIA" not cup of tea. Good overall advice, my advice to people is don't bother going into IT, everything will be taken over by robots and AI soon lol.
