When you CAN and CANNOT use Personal Conveyance. Every company has a different set of guidelines that company driver and independent contractors must follow. Our guidelines are set to keep our drivers legal and safe at all times to avoid citations and unnecessary fines.
"Personal conveyance is the movement of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for personal use while off-duty. A driver may record time operating a CMV for personal conveyance as off-duty only when the driver is relieved from work and all responsibility for performing work by the motor carrier".

I'm going to make a recommendation for your company as an owner of a company also. . After talking to my insurance agency and the rules and regulations of roadside parking the best procedure for your driver to do would be to make notations and keep a receipt of the repair or email the driver a copy of the receipt and have the driver switch to personal conveyance to save Haven

THIS PERSON NEEDS TO BE FIRED - COMPANY DRIVERS - IT IS AGAINST the LAW for them to tell you you must go into violation- DO NOT DRIVE IN VIOLATION- at the end of the day it is your license on the line and you’re just another body in the truck laws are in play to stop companies like this forcing you to drive in violation again it is against the law for them to tell you to do so make sure you get it in writing - I spent six years as a union rep in a contract negotiator guys learned the hard way about companies telling you to drive in violation not to mention that’s the first thing a DOT officer is going to say you’re the captain of the ship you’re supposed to know the rules and you should not be driving in violation- Company “policy”does not supersede the law this company is trying to implement a company policy that is against the law- first thing I would do is show this video to the Labor Board

What happens if you been in the sleeper birthday for 5 hours on a 10 hour reset but noticed you need gas can you use personal convenience to get gas especially if your truck is your home aswell

Why difference of only 1 hr for comp driver but Lop gets 2 hrs ? Why ? Sounds like Wilson just being cheap not want let driver use truck and gas for hardly anything at all ever. Is the 1 hour allowed for within a day or nite or 24 hr period or a week or what ? What timeframe u talking about ? Why is thus pc thing such a restrictive complicated big deal ? Sounds like Wilson and Companies only worried alk bout getting sued and legal court liabilities and NOT for drivers' option and no leeway flexibility given to drivers to help them get offroad and be safe comfortable to get some food and rest sleep or take care of important personal issues while out working for Youguys OTR onduty. The OTR Tdriver job is already super hard enuf... Why make it worse for them ?

Hey there! Our PC guidelines are in place to make sure our drivers are running legally and safely. These guidelines are in place because fines can add up to be very costly for a driver which also impacts their CSA score and ours. Our drivers can always call our compliance team if they are not understanding the guideline or if they are in a situation where they do not feel safe in their situation with the hours they have. Just like most companies, independent contractors running under the lease program do have a little more flexibility when it come to PC, governed speeds, etc.

If you're on the way home not loaded And run out of your hours for the week your 70 hours 10 or 20 miles from my house can you use personal conveyance go home

What should I do if there's no room at the truck stop and I'm out of hours ? Can I use PC to go to the next one (in the direction of a load) or just park on the ramp even if there's no parking there ?

If you're out of hours you can PC to a safe haven.
