Lord knows I needed this. My son is having a hard time at school and the school gave him a sensory story and he’s a reader so it honesty helped him. I thanked them so much.

Brilliant as always, thanks for the valuable advice. Cold water is a sensory satisfier too, that is a gem. My boy chews ice regularly. :)

I am a 26 year old, blind and autistic individual with complex PTSD. I tend to bite myself when I’m angry, this regulated, having complex, PTSD flashbacks, or sometimes, just as a way of oral seeking. I’m trying to allow myself to use the sensory brush in those times. I think a chewy would be good too, even though I feel like I’m too old for a chewy. The sensory brush really helps me though. But I don’t exactly do the brushing protocol how it’s supposed to be done.

Using a chewy can be so helpful! Or other forms of oral input including chewing gum, chewing ice, etc. We were trained in a specific brushing technique, however you can use the sensory brush in the way that feels good for you!

@@HarklaFamily I love chewing gum, and I love chewing ice. I use the sensory brush as a fidget, or to brush my skin whenever I’m angry, sad, upset, or if I’m having flashbacks.

Could you please give some advice on a 15 month old biting a 4 year old? My 4 year old doesn't have the capacity to not scream or give big reaction when she is bitten, so the cycle just continues. I teach my 4 year old how to respond calmly, but she cannot do it, which I totally understand. I feel like my 15 month old gets the reward of response and some days a re just so intensive!

Why children are fascinated for animals like, dinosorous, fishes and birds. Child in my school takeout fishes from the pond and tap them and keep them under the soil and tell that it is dead

It's difficult to say why, with the small amount of information and not knowing the child personally!
