Look, I know what it's like to be broke. To count every penny, always running out of money before you run out of month, and to wonder if things will ever change.
In my newest episode, I’m breaking down the steps you need to climb out of any financial hole, so that you can change your life and get right side up just like I did.
And I’ll be exposing the mental traps that keep you broke and how you can escape them.

A small but effective way to not go broke is to pay in cash. The problem with credit cards is that people don't feel the financial damage until afterwards when they pull up their credit card app at the end of the month. With paying cash you may have enough, but feeling the damage to your finances will put you in a better habit of budgeting rather than becoming another victim to credit card debt.
@theforruner117
@theforruner117 10 месяцев назад
That's definitely a good point. But then you have no credit history. Credit cards can be tools if used responsibly. The best way is right when you make a purchase, you go to the app and pay off that purchase immediately. Then you feel the financial burden AND build credit
@dillonc7955
@dillonc7955 10 месяцев назад
@@theforruner117That's probably what I should've added. Putting something on credit and paying it off immediately is a great habit. Also avoid "buy now, pay later" methods. A lot of companies have terms buried in their pages of contracts that often screw you in the end to the point where you're better off buying the item outright.

i pay pretty much all personal --privilege expenses with cash i have, i use my credit card to purchase then 48 hours later when it post i pay in full, i accumulate the reward points and use them for trips for my wife and i free airfare, hotels, car rental, plus paying that all off that quick my credit score sits in the mid 800s, thus when i finance a car or big ticket item my interest rate is always the lowest offered, i only own 1 credit card as well

I was a 125,000 in debt after school. Took me 6 years to pay it all off. Was able to save and get a house and new car between the 6-8 years after school. It’s doable but takes a lot of determination and sacrifice to get it done. No way should education be as expensive as it is. And before anyone says well it depends on your major. I went to school and got a Engineering and applied mathematics degree. I now engineer fire sprinkler systems in the commercial construction industry. I could only imagine how hard it must be for people outside of stem related subjects.

I’m broke and tired of the corporate life. I want a different life for the remaining of my life. I want to be an entrepreneur. I’m gonna die irregardless of whether I succeed or not but I would rather die trying than to check out right now- which did crossed my mind. I have flipped the switch. I live in Asia. Then, i want to invest in myself and continue to have income coming in on the side. One question I've wanted to ask you is about retirement plans. Hey team! I’ve got a scenario that I would like some community feedback on. This video has been spot on for my current plan but would like some advice. I have a fiancé and we split all expenses but I am the only one that currently works. We made that decision so that she could focus on keeping the home neat and organized and I could focus on income. I’ve had the same position for 2 years now and have applied for 9 internal promotions the past year. I’ve been the number 2 candidate twice out of the 9 applications. I make around 45k per year salary and have side income around 5k per year. The decision to only have me work has limited my fiancé and my lifestyle but it has allowed me to gain some of those much needed skills for a promotion. The roles I’ve been applying to would see a jump to 60-65k instead of 45k with eventual senior level making around 80-90k before management. My hesitation comes because I’ve been applying for a year and have been told more than once interviews were great, skill set was great, and communication was great but still another candidate was chosen. Should we continue on this path or should my fiancé work for a time to boost our income and create a larger cushion should any unforeseen circumstance arrive?
@luismnavarro929
@luismnavarro929 10 месяцев назад
Hey Jordang, Want to start off by saying you are great man for providing the income and busting your ass off at work. To get straight to the point, I believe it is best of interest for your fiancé to work temporarily a part time. Better to have a cushion just in case of a rainy day. My buddy was in the same shoe as you. He took care of all the bills and was the only income for the household. Than one day he got laid off work and struggled to find a job. Sit together in the dining table and discuss a budget or plan for the future. If you like where you work than continue sending application for a promotion until you get it. If not than find someone who will pay for what you bring to the table. Once you hit that yearly mark than she can go back to keeping the house clean and etc. Congrats to the both of you and much luck

It's easier said than done, but it's smarter if you don't want to be broke. Even if inflation is at 12%, that is still a 1% per month loss. With all of the great stuff that you would share, I am hesitant to offer any criticism, but in matters of money, accuracy, counts.
