I don’t eat red meat either. I take Geritol liquid daily & my hair is striving. I also take vitamin D drops daily along with a multi vitamin. Thanks for sharing and stressing the importance of a good diet.
My androgenic alopecia from PCOS looks like that. They did a scalp biopsy at the dermatologist office so I could know it was alopecia. Anyone can look for slight thinning along the parting line down the middle or miniaturized strands that look finer than the other strands. I also have biotin, vitamin c and iodine deficiency. Vitamin c helps us make collagen I believe along with making amino acids. I believe the nutrition matters more than the actual alopecia diagnosis and is the cause of it honestly .
I’m so glad that you brought it androgenic alopecia! Going to specifically check with my doc about that! Hormone imbalance is common as you get older and it’s something I’ve experienced. I’m glad to know that I’m not alone. Totally agree about the importance of nutrition as well.
You are on the right track! You have beautiful hair. I also have long thin strands. It has a tendency to be thinner around the edges and break off at the nape where my hair is coarse. After one year, I decided to give my hair a protein treatment. My hair immediately responded. My curls started to pop and retain moisture better. I know it was exactly what my hair needed. You are not alone. I know you will be successful with your new regime. ♥️
Cheryl, thank you so much for your encouragement 🫶🏾 My plan is similar to yours as I do believe that lack of protein has been one of the contributing factors to the hair breakage. I’ll be sure to share the progress as I make adjustments to my hair care regimen- thank you for watching!
Ladies!💕(and gents too :) Welcome back to a new video. This week I am sharing my hair breakage and hair loss experience and highlighting some key ways to recover from setbacks like this to grow your hair long and healthy again. While I touched on getting your vitamin and hormone levels checked, I also wanted to emphasize the importance of also screening the following levels to maintain not only healthy hair but a healthy body. Blood Pressure (BP): Systolic and Diastolic readings, Lipid Panel, Total Cholesterol Numbers, LDL-C levels (very important cholesterol number to know), HDL-C levels, Triglycerides Levels, Metabolic Levels, Glucose levels, A1C Reading. Xx
I growing my hair back from Iron deficiency… God is good, I’m glad I found the issue but I’ve had to make peace with starting over. ❤. Great video , I think you are right on track with the changes in your routine ❤
God is good! Yes ma’am! I’m so glad you found the issue as well. I struggle with low iron as well. Thank you for the encouragement and I hope your hair continues to grow beautifully!
You’re so right. Stress plays such a big role in hair loss. Our bodies are often under more stress than we realize. I’m glad you’ve been able to find ways to mitigate your stress!🤎
Appreciate you sharing. I also have had breakage at the crown and it looks just like what yours looks like. For me, I believe it was from wearing buns too tight and consistently for days without taking it down, and also not purposely moisturising the middle. In my attempt to grow the crown back, I try to remoisturise the area every three days or so, tbh, I want to do it daily. I would like to admit that I don't wear buns on top of my head anymore, but I'd be lying. However, I wear them looser and I take it down every day after work and massage for about 20 seconds. If I were to do what I know I should be doing, I'd move my bun around my head more, I'd moisturise the crown daily and massage the crown for longer and I'd do a protein treatment every once in a while.
Thank you for sharing this. How has your hair been doing, specifically in the crown area, once you implemented those hair care adjustments? Hair breakage in the crown area is much more common than I initially realized and I’m glad this is a safe space to talk about it.
@@PatriceMarjorie honestly, it doesn't "feel" much different. But I've not taken pictures or looked at it much. However, I've been doing the same thing with my nape hair and I've definitely seen improvement there. So... I don't know, maybe it is working 🤷🏽♀️
You are so beautiful 😍 Patricia Marjorie 💖 I pray YAH Almighty keeps and blesses you always And That you keep Him 1st in your life. Matthew 6:33 Psalm 91 Your hair will thrive again in the areas of breakage. Thank you for your transparency and tips !
My hair was doing the same thing. It was my hormones due to me not taking my spray and not taking my thyroid meds correctly! I didn’t see the doctor I just started back to it correctly and vola problem solved itself
