Did you have any articles that look at the risk of developing hypothyroidism with TPO levels >1300 IU/mL? I had issues trying to gain access to some of the articles mentioned because my University Library access couldn't get through the paywalls.

@reneehall7876 Did you have high antibodies to begin with.? Did you develop the other two conditions after Hashimoto’s?

I was diagnosed in 2006 and this is the first time I have heard that Hashimoto’s does not cause symptoms. 🤔
@wildwaning9427

Or that hormones actually causes symptoms along with a high TPO. Need to see a study on that.

@@wildwaning9427 In addition to TPOab over 600, initially, I later found I was estrogen dominant and began taking a homeopathic progesterone. It seems to help! [TPOab were 71 at last testing. I attribute supplements (selenium, D, black seed oil, inositol) and an anti-inflammatory diet (no sugar, no fast carbs, etc.) to the decrease.]

It's my understanding that positive TGA generally indicates Grave's whereas no TPOab usually means no Hashimoto's. I've read that there are exceptions, but that seems to be rare.

This was so helpful and encouraging. Thank you! I took TPOab from 644 to 71 in four months with an anti-inflammatory diet, no sugar, no fast/simple carbs, plus selenium, inositol, black seed oil, etc. But with me, I have had "hashitoxicosis" which presented with tachycardia, slight hand tremor. Would you say hashitoxicosis is symptom-free in and of itself as well, or? Thanks a million if you can shed some light on this. Almost no one discusses hashitoxicosis.

@amberlynmarlowe8704 10 месяцев назад
@@janellemilazzolau1288 I did AIP for 3 weeks. I have some good right before and right after lab numbers to share in regard to this. TPOab were 84 right before and 71 right after. But, as mentioned in my prior post, I began with TPOab 644. So in 4 months prior to trying AIP I tried having no sugar and no other simple carbs (pasta, bread that wasn't gluten free, etc) following basically an anti-inflammatory diet, I got the TPOab down from 644 to 84.

Hi Dr Ruscio, Thank you for your all videos. I appreciate for them. One thing I’d like to ask is if Bacillus Coagulans (MTCC 5260) probiotic is low histamine or high? I am very sensitive to histamine intolerance. Thks.

Thanks for a great video. I have pcos and I was thinking hypothyroid is what caused it. But now you’re saying hormone imbalances can cause hypothyroid so how do I know what came first? And is pcos caused by hormone imbalances or the other way around? How can I balance it. What causes imbalance? So confusing

Thyroid disease run in my family and I do have concerns about it. No one has ever fully tested my thyroid function despite having asked for it. I recently got a Tsh test done and my level went from 1.84 to a 1.15. Is this a concern?

Is it okay to have cheat meals once a while if you have Hashimoto's ?
@DrRuscioDC
@DrRuscioDC 9 месяцев назад
I don't view anything as a "cheat" meal. I believe life is about balance and figuring out what helps you feel your best. I always advice sticking to a whole foods diet majority of the time.
