You need to build a structure that aligns to your routine. It can't be just anytime. Look for a specific time during the day or night where you spend time with the Lord. This helps you to keep fit in the spirit. Create a pattern. Consistency is stronger than intensity.

Ask and seek him for revelation why your prayers arent beung answered... eg hindrances, spirit of delay, not his will,not lraying his will for you or situation, not right timing for things to happen so patience, are you walking in him right...just examples of possible reasons why not being answered or delay...there could be other reasins but just to name a few
