Thank you for this episode! I’m in the beginning part of my journey to detox my life and home. This was so informative! My biggest key takeaway from this episode is that there IS hope to healing my health issues and maybe I can do that by just eliminating toxins from my life!
I’m so happy you had this highly informative, valuable, very much needed guest on your show. Thank you Branch Basics!!! My mom has Alzheimer’s. I’ve been examining & researching everything I can get my hands on trying to figure out “how” this happened. What I mean was were there any things like using pesticides, wrong cleaning products, eating too much sugar, etc. that contributed to this. I’m a Clinical Nurse Practitioner. I took a leave to take a leave to take care of my mom. I’m changing everything in my life so I hopefully don’t become the 3rd woman in my immediate family to succumb to this brutal disease. Thank you all for this great episode. I’ve been with you since episode one!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Have you tried adding animal fat to her diet? I follow a dietition who's grandma died from alzheimers, and she was on a low fat and high veggie diet. our brain needs fat. I would try giving her more animal fat and protien.
What a great episode! I have slowly been changing out my household cleaning products and educating myself on all the toxic chemicals we use day to day. I like how informative this episode was and how easy branch basics makes it to switch over!
Man I wanna buy everything but everything healthy is like $5 more and at the end of a grocery trip I’m dropping a grand on simple things. I do most of the things but sometimes it’s overwhelming 😢
If you’re talking about buying cleaners go simple. Branch basics is amazing, but you can make so many cleaners yourself. Baking soda - use it to scrub things like the toilet and tub Vinegar will leave things streak free (use it as a floor cleaner with a surfactant - any basic soap, even plain unscented dish soap is a good step) Rubbing alcohol - if you need anything to actually be sanitized. I put a small splash in a spray bottle with water and a drop of dish soap for my quartz kitchen surfaces after I do meat stuff. But seriously! Just soap and water is often enough. Don’t believe the marketing that every single “dirty” thing in your home needs a special cleaner - it’s how you go broke! And laundry - look into the true earth strips. Affordable and low waste. If you aren’t ready for that just start with unfragranced laundry soap and skip softener and dryer sheets. You can buy wool balls and they last for years and reduce static. Best yet - hand clothes and then toss them in for 10 minutes on medium to reduce wrinkles. No static from spinning, no power needed.
Incredible podcast! Removing these toxins can lead to significant improvements in well-being. What's the most common resistance people have when it comes to switching to cleaner products, and how do you address it?
I truly admire how you turned your health challenges into an inspiring mission. With the presence of diverse products, it is essential to have non-toxic options that are more beneficial to all of us! Thank you for sharing your wonderful life-story!
I think the founder's story is a good reminder that we should all be more aware of the chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis. We can start by making small changes, such as switching to non-toxic cleaning products. Love this content.
Great episode. thank you. I would like to say to be careful about setting women's expectations about the correlation between feminine products and cramps. I have used a eco silicone menstrual cup for 15 years and i get horrid cramps....
I get sooo bummed at the gym. Ever since covid the cleaning has gotten outrageous. The gym supplies hospital grade cleaner, not everyone needs to use it every time a machine is used for 3 minutes! over the summer, there was a lady spraying the gym cleaner IN THE CEDAR (cedar is antimicrobial) SAUNA. I did tell her that was unnecessary and explained why but I couldn’t believe someone would think it’s safe to aerosolize a cleaning product in a 185 degree sauna. I literally couldn’t breathe I had to leave.
What about beauty products ? I see this woman has root based hair color as well as a ton of bleach hair & toner. The host said she removed her breast implants, but what about lip fillers and other fillers to clean up their life's. Nail polish & acrylics ect. I don't think its only cleaning products, fragrances and every thing she mentioned. P.S. as a hairdresser, you cant get high lift bleach such as what she has without high lift bleach & peroxide .
I think you’re right. I am not sure how to get rid of my hair color that I love. Or! The products in my hair. Which I love! Hopefully some changes will help even if we can’t do them all
@kimgraham8571 look up attitude shampoo and conditioner, all their products are AMAZING. Truely Solan quality , don't let the price fool you. It really good and at such an amazing price. I use their baby and kid products on my children and love their deodorant too. And it's all EWG certified 🙏 I slowly just stopped coloring my hair a few years ago and had to cut length off to rid of it all , it was a process a few years but I literally LOVE my natural color. It's what I was always trying to accomplish with boyolage and dying. God knows what he is doing when he created us. My natural color finally matches well with my skintone! Haha I also like bare minerals make up. I need to clean up my make up bag for sure. It's a process.
@@Way_Finder77that’s a great idea. I don’t know the options. Honestly. I will ask my hair dresser. Not sure about the massive curls I have too. But if I can at least control some of the poisons.
What about putting filler and Botox in your body? I feel like that’s where I would start with clean organic living lol. I’m watching this episode and then an advertisement for Restylane comes on and it’s just hard to take this episode seriously.
Not to mention the 3 to 4 ads in between. I mean if were gonna talk about all the health why all the advertisements. All were doing is putting more junk into the environment. We buy so many things, I stead we should also be taking care of our mother earth.
I’d love to hear the owners of BB share why they turned their backs on Christians like Dr Courtney Kahla. It was such a kick in the pants for those of us who follow the Bible. Sadly due to treatment like that I’ll never feel good about supporting Branch Basics.
Wisdom of the body is miraculous! I’m not gonna lie I was very overwhelmed at first but this knowledge is incredibly empowering 🤍 know more do more!! Thank you!!
