How to stop older dog from pulling on leash? Heel work is the answer. This video is taken from Season 6 of our DogBone Handlers Workshop located in our Training Library on our website. Folks come from all around to spend a weekend with us with their dogs.
One of the biggest issues we see is dogs that pull, lunge, jump, and drag their owners on lead. The fix is heel work, and teaching the handler to make sharp effective corrections to get a change. Most of these dogs are so used to having constant pressure on their necks and pulling constantly every time they are on lead. That ends today, and solid heel work becomes the new norm. This is how to stop older dogs from pulling on leash.
