I already know tons of ppl needed to hear this, including myself 🙏🏻 You do tons for this community Rio so thank you, fr. Can't wait to see the butterfly effect of you bein here take place 🔥🚀
Great tips Rio, especially the exercise at the end; music isn’t supposed to be something to overthink about, it should just flow. Thanks Rio for motivating us bedroom producers
thanks dad, real talk though it’s so dope that you’re as transparent as you are and truly care about the wellness of the producer community. appreciate you rio.
im 18 rn and i can relate to this so much feeling pessimistic and always overthinking criticism i just graduated high school last year and all my creative friends i used to hangout with are all gone and never spoke to me again. Since then im at the point where im depressed, stuck in a shitty job, taking classes i don't like at all, not posting as much, keep shelving my beats, and feeling lost like ik what i want but i don't how to get there at all thank you for posting this vid
Definitely agree with the exercise at the end. As producers, it's important to have our OWN projects that makes us happy creatively. It might not fit an artist or a type beat, but those weird projects are always the most fun to create.
Thanks a lot rio, when i first started music i thought i had to do everything the right way, but music taught me that there isn’t a right way to do everything and it unlocked a new perspective for me, not just music, but for life. it also taught me how to stick to something i enjoy and always find ways to improve. overthinking won’t change the outcome for the better.
I waited a few days to watch this after I saw it posted because I knew it was going to be really impactful and I needed the right space to watch it. So glad today was the day rio, I feel like I’m just a vessel for creativity to move thru me after watching this. Thank you for looking out for the community
I needed to hear this, it’s hard trying to stay motivated with music when you are struggling to network and build with other prods thank you for this video, I needed to hear this‼️🔥🙏🏿
im 16 my self and started out when i was 13. and the feeling of being behind is something i also always feel. i fee like i have to create a whole new genre or something, like the shit im doing aint enough. really useful video Rio.
at a really rough place in life rn, this gave me sum peace of mind and clarity that i had been missing for months, ngl i appreciate ur words of encouragement very much. thank you
Holy shit I didn’t know I needed this type of conversation before this video. These are everyday thoughts of many, but all it takes is one with a platform to reach out and grab the attention of multiple who feel the same. Protect this man at all costs 🙏🏽
I remember sitting in my English class watching Paryo’s vlogs with you and the gang cooking up bangers and driving nice cars. I felt as though I’ve been behind ever since I’ve seen that, but after watching this it’s just fuel! Thank you Rio ❤
Thank you for this video, what ur talking about doesn’t only apply to producers, IM NOT EVEN A PRODUCER And I found the information that u relayed in this video VERY HELPFUL AND USEFUL THANK YOU RIO
Thank you so much Rio. I really needed this. I have been producing for about 2 years and stopped for a good amount of time. I want to pick it back up and I feel like this helped a lot and taught me lessons that I can use in my regular day to day life too❤
I would never ever though that Rio struggled with all that stuff He seems like such a chill dude that never overthinks like hes always just having fun and trying to get shit done it almost seemed like effortless or something idk
Make beats for yourself too. You’re so right bro. I’ve never made money. But I’ve made hundreds of people smile in my studio. And a bunch dance! I feel payment through reactions. I feel my old songs still being classics.. idk. I enjoy what I make, if people listen it’s just a bonus!
Super helpful conversation that a lot of us needed to hear, it’s tough relating a lot of the mental obstacles that come with any creative pursuits to people in our circles that don’t understand so it’s always good to have an online community that gets it. Thank Rio! 🤘
God bless you Rio, thanks for keeping it real and for advising newer producers in the right direction. I've felt the way you described in the beginning of being "behind" even though I'm doing really well. This put it in perspective for me. Thanks bro
Peace Rio. First time viewer here. I look forward to more words of wisdom like this from your channel in the future...bc some of us really needed to hear it. Real talk 🤘👊
Thank you Rio, we love to listen to you because we learn a lot. We are Leandro(48yo) and Ian(16yo), a father and son duo from Buenos Aires. We've been producing instrumentals for about 3 years now and together we've come a long way full of adventures. See you on the road. Hugs.
RIO YOU ARE THE BEST, I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS WITH A TRANSLATOR BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW ENGLISH, AND YES BRO, IT'S 5AM ON MY WATCH, I JUST FINISHED MAKING BEATS, I HAVEN'T HAD A SINGLE PLACEMENT, NO FRIENDS IN THIS AREA, BUT I KEEP DOING IT BECAUSE I'M LOADED WITH THIS SHIT, THANK YOU
Great talk Rio I feel like this shit is needed for producers more than the thousands of FL tutorials cus we all know that shit but what about the real sauce
Rio this Speech of yours was really helpful, now i feel lesser stressed out. Yeah it's the same for me on some days I really struggle and force myself to create a beat just for the sake for creation. And on other days when i feel relaxed, i just open ma DAW start with something simple and all my creative ideas come out naturally. Often the key is not force yourself to create something, don't have any expactations about the outcome of your musical idea. Try to transfer the musical idea from your head into the DAW and attempt to have a clear mind, be relaxed and your ideas flow out by itself. In todays century we often tend to compare ourself with other successful people and we push us to hard to achieve our goals. But often this ambitious fire backwards. On some days you really feel down, on other days you feel really great. To fight aggainst this doesn't get you anything. Just accept it caus life is like a rollercoaster. Iam looking forward for new Videos Rio, but don't overwork yourself for the sake of your community :)
you really different bro, thank you. I recommend all of you guys to read this book called “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. It will help you understand more about what is being creative, J Cole mentioned it once on a interview when he wanted to learn more information about creativity.
From what I'm hearing, it sounds like going from mid tier producer to top-of-the-line was a far greater challenge than getting from 0 to mid-tier. To me that's great news. If I could make 12 bucks an hour making music in my apartment whatever, that would be sick. CS is the main bag and music is the backup bag. But we gotta wait at least 2-3 years for CS
