I did that immediately before reading this comment, and I thought, "Hey, I guess a lot of people think they should really watch this too--just like me!" The irony took me a moment.
the irony that you comrades already know. watching how to stop procrastinating videos while procrastinating to distract ourselves from the fact that we're procrastinating. thanks JP anyways.
I've been trying to get my act together since late last year. I started exercising again, significantly cut down on my drinking, and began studying for a career-advancing certification. Today I passed my certification and hopefully turned the page into a new chapter of my life. I hope to thank JBP in person someday for inspiring me to make meaningful change in order to become a better version of myself.
Same here, this really redirects me, not sure why I keep falling out of the path. Maybe I need to systemize goal setting more and stay more committed to it. I tend to fall out when I achieve something and then reward myself too much and think like “I deserve to rest” and such.
I love this guy!!! Great man and truly a blessing. I am right now trying to heed his advise as much as possible. Thanks for saving my life Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.
Enunciating ideas clearly can significantly enhance our understanding. When we grasp the concepts, a sense of relief washes over us. The irony lies in watching this episode while procrastinating, yet delving into the intricacies of how our minds operate empowers us to create a tailored plan, effectively putting an end to procrastination. This video is a masterpiece for two reasons. Firstly, Mr. Peterson's explanations are both informative and engaging (no jokes here). Secondly, it presents a well-structured pathway to understanding, enabling us to kickstart the tasks we're meant to accomplish. If you ever find yourself struggling to make progress, don't hesitate to revisit this video as many times as required until you see the change
I often don't get around to procrastinating, since I don't know what to do or who I am at the moment in the first place, and then I just go with the flow. ;-)))
Procrastination is your feelings getting in the way of doing what you are supposed to do. How does one get mastery over your feelings - especially when an unsavory task is at hand?.
Sitting here in my underwear, bummed about how far away my jeans are, wishing I had gotten outside before ten a.m., and thinking "sure, I'll watch a JBP video about procrastination!"
