A right video at the right time... yesterday only I started my freestyle and observed I was sinking the moment I wanted to arm rotation...thank you so much, I will take up these tips and shall incorporate them tomorrow in my training session
This tip was so amazing! I couldn't figure out what was going when I went to the aquatic center this past week and my freestyle just kept falling apart. For some reason, I just didn't feel aligned in the water. I believe this is exactly what it was. I was slowing down my arm too much trying to relax my technique and I couldn't figure out why I was sinking and struggling to take a breathe. I just learned to do freestyle and get across the pool without stopping using all your tips. At 48, I never thought I would have learned how to swim because I was always intimidated by the water even with swimming lessons. I have even learned to tread, and I force myself to only swim in the deep end. I wanted to ask if you could do a video on doing the two-beater kick with freestyle. The lifeguards always say I'm not using my legs enough but as a new swimmer the one beater kick allows me to rotate and breathe comfortably and not feel exhausted when I get to the other side of the pool. I'm not sure how it works with a two-beater kick.
I think for the average male the arm weighs around 20lbs or more. That's a good reason to not waste time on the recovery. I had never thought of that until this video.
I was a breaststroke a long time ago but I was terrible at freestyle I had no kick is it possible to swim freestyle well using no kick by using the information from this video
