Thank you for your 4 steps. I skip the step1 and 2, and feed my dog with slippery elm and soil base probiotic too early in step 2 (when dogs still have diarrhea and very liquid stool), it make the situation worse!

So I have an older dog who has been on white rice and chicken for a week and his diarrhea almost got better but is coming back a little and his stool is still orangish and softer than it should be with a mucas aspect at times. Should I add the protect powder to his bland diet or go with a 24 hour fast. He has anxiety so he is on trazadone Morning and night and if he doesn't eat, he tends to want to vomit bile every now and then if he doesn't eat. I may just call the vet but was hoping to just fix this easily. Any help would be great!

I bought slippery elm in a liquid form, dropper. My dog is a 7 lb Yorkie. He always seems to have diarrhea! I’m just wondering how many drops to give him of the slippery elm. Your help is much appreciated!
Dogs Naturally Magazine I wish it did however I bought this at a health food store. Dosage recommended is for human consumption and not dogs. Anyway I’ve since figured out his cause for the chronic diarrhea and now have a very happy healthy Yorkie!
