How to stop your Engine from Stalling 

Seriously Excellent Video. You are good at these videos. I was having problems with a Dynamite .19 tune today and this Really Helped Me get the engine performing Correctly. I was able to get the Idle/LSN really good, but it was nearly dying post-acceleration so I had to go Richer on my HSN and now I’m able to do a nice Extended break-in on this motor. Great Vodeo production and narration. 😎👍🔥

What settings do you have on the low and high speed needle?

@MegaRallycar no, trim is the servo, which is just stepping on the gas, this video is right

I respect your videos and understand you know what you are talking about, but have to disagree with this approach. The carb opening should be as small as it can be without stalling (1-2mm).

You might have to mess with the tune on the engine, maybe richen the high speed a little bit and give it a try.

He still set it up wrong.... everytime he applied the brake the carb closed to idle, which it should do, however, everytime he let go of the brake the carb opened back up slightly ..... that is wrong.... the carb slide should have the same gap at idle whether the brake is applied or not.... .

Instead, adjust your brake linkage. The idea is that when you brake the carb opening should not move...instead of moving "less".

I personally make it where wile the truck is idling and you watch the slide where the boot is. is not moving in at all when you brake.. it shouldnt move at all in my opinion while full braking.

Mine just stalls when I floor it I’ve already set it up and broke the engine in so why does it stall when I go flat out?

I have a 2001 Mustang GT V8 that keeps stalling every time I put it in reverse and back up " sometime when I put it in drive ", I have to put it back in park and crank it up again and it's fine. Never had any probs of stalling while driving but it's getting anoyying.... specially when you just entered into a car show and right at the end you reverse it and it stalls lol

On my car, if I open the idle screw, it revs up and runs high for a few seconds (too much, like it is not in neutral) and the rpms drop and then it stalls.

hi I have a hpi rs4 2 and I rebuild the engine and it starts but on on high throttle it dies. is it fuel or air?

My problem is my engine turns on and after a 1 minute the engine goes all the way to full speed without doing anything

Opening it further via the idle set screw for braking is much like putting deodarant on body odor....you are simply masking the problem.

I have a traxxas stampede pro .15 and it stalls when I go full throttle would it be the tank it runs fine all day long talking it easy

My RC car dies when full throttle is applied, it doesn't die right away though. It would rev up for about a sec then dies, it has good throttle response and it ran good for a while after tuning it. I changed glow plug but problem persists. Help please...
