Seems par for the course for a lot of folks a few years into the hobby

Ya I'll second the comment about this being an under rated channel. Great quality, don't sound like an influencer where every sentence is a question. And the best part is it doesn't take you 20 minutes to get your point across. Subscribed.

I've got that same green make train, with just one middle tray. I love it, yet, I agree, i need more portable storage space, also.

The Link is absolutely clutch, I can see it being a great solution for bits storage as well if I could ever be bothered to actually clip the sprues lol

If I had the space, a little makeup trolley thing or cheap modular toolbox sounds like a pretty great upgrade. I currently store my frequent use tools (clippers, files, hobby blades, small saw, two hand drills) on my desks shelf, and then have two shelves with dedicated paint and tool sections, and mini kits scattered where they fit around the room.

I have a small metal husky toolbox for all my tools, glue, stencils, paint markers, tape, and a few other items. I then built a custom 5 drawer pant storage box that at max can hold 600 paints(mr. color). Drawers 1 - 3 are mr. color with some tamiya and citadel mixed in there. Drawer 4 is my jumpwind and some vallejo, gsw, cheap craft store paint, e7, a-stand, and a few other random pants thrown in there. Then drawer 5 is solely dedicated to my airbrushes. Currently working on a vertical 600 paint rack for Ak gen 3 acrylics and similar styled paint bottles

Awesome video and great ideas! Found a new sub here. I'd like to share my experience, opinion, and love for toolboxes for anyone interested. I've worked in HVAC, Electrical, and other trade settings for 18 years now. My main toolboxes became travel / stack systems around 2015. I've played with and used different systems since then for work. The concept is so cool. It's a simple system that can massively change how we work. I love how the different systems organize and lock together. That little makeup tower is very neat. I would have never thought about one. Harbor Freight and Walmart carry stack systems that are budget friendly. Lowes has Craftsman Tradestack, which has never let me down. It's a bit more in cost, but worth it quality wise, for someone carrying full capacity loads. It's my favorite for lighter storage. Lowes also has Toughbuilt Stack Tech. It is more expensive but worth it for heavy loads, rough environments, and someone wanting endless adaptability options. Summer 2024, they're releasing more products. If I had a large studio that moved a lot or did big jobs, I'd look at that. They're my favorite for heavy power tools and harsh environments. Ridgid crates from Home Depot are very cool. Not terribly expensive, lightweight, and they snap together at the handle. I like the black and orange color scheme. These are my favorite stackable crates. I like the Klein Mod Box system as my standard / basic toolbox. It's a crisp orange color. Lowes brought them out last year before the Toughbuilt system. Klein was supposed to release more attachments & boxes. I'm not sure if they're continuing the product or if it didn't do well. Outside of ordering, I'm limited to boxes, organizers, and a few basic attachments with Modbox. I have parts of Dewalt, Kobalt, Flex, Ryobi, and the Milwaukee Packout systems as well. Kobalt and Hart have broken on me from work wear. The new Dewalt bags are nice for packing a few heavy tools up a silo or into a tight space. Hart and Bauer are cheap. But they'd do the trick for light loads, nothing too crazy. Craftsman and Husky are the best mid range. Ridgid is my favorite mid to high range. Milwaukee Packout and Toughbuilt are among the highest price & best quality, available to me locally. Sometimes you truly do, "get what you pay for." Sometimes, it's just a cool color or name on the product, lol. The travel systems are really getting big now. Who knows what cool systems will come out down the road. Thanks for reading my research paper LoL. Cheers to my fellow hobbyists, trade workers, and tool enthusiasts. 🧡

I am just starting. So my tools are disorganized and spread between two filing cabinets and a tacklebox.
