I wanted to share with you the things I have figured out experimenting with over the past year or two on live streaming with an acoustic piano.

Glad you liked the video. Yes Blackmagic cameras are great for shooting and live streaming video. You need to get a decent lens to go with it.

Hey Jacob, Thanks for your videos, especially your music. It's hard to describe exactly what some music does for me but in a nutshell, it makes me feel very good and your music gives me a lot of pleasure. It's almost like a drug but without any side effects. Then you also share your methods and guide other musicians (and in multiple languages even). You're great. Thanks, Jacob.

Btw I love your arrangements of tunes composed by Chick.. I still miss him dearly, I must admit. If there's one tune (and trust me there is many) I'd like to hear you arrange, it would be 'La Fiesta'.

Really succinct and well presented! About the stereo mikes, would you consider it relevant to have the left taking in the 'low end' and the right the 'high end' so as to make it sound like you hear it as the player?

Yes that is typically what I would do with the panning and is probably the standard.

Great explanation! May I ask about your experience with the type of room/environment? How critical is the room anechoity?

Next to the instrument the room has the most effect on the sound. If you are in a small room it becomes more important to use sound panels and or sound proofing to try and soften the reverb from the close walls.

It's a good thing you didn't buy a switcher with a LOT of channels, otherwise those cameras could get very expensive. :-/ Nice nuts and bolts overview to streaming. I expect it would be quite useful to someone starting out.
