AffiliateStarti... How To Stream An ISO File To Your TV shows you how to stream an iso file (or any other video file for that matter) directly to your TV using a Chrome extension called VideoStream. You need Chrome, a Chromecast dongle and the extension. Chrome and the extension are free, the dongle costs $35.
You have to set up the dongle but that is for another video. It's easy to do. Once you have these three in place, you are good to go. Enjoy.

Interesting video. I also would like to know how to add a subtitle file to the playing/streaming iso movie. If I was playing an iso movie with e.g. VLC Player, it's easy. You just open up the Subtitle menu, then Add Subtitle File, then finally select the Sub Track. But casting the iso with ChromeCast to the TV, I have no idea how to add subtitles! (I already have a ChromeCast dongle for casting from an Android tablet.)

Suggestion for people who need subtitles: I ended up connecting my laptop direct to the TV with an AVI cable, then playing the iso movie using VLC Player, first selecting the subtitle file and track in the Subtitles menu. (Note that VLC can play iso files directly.)

Claude Pelanne Hi, so i have done some tests and if you know where to fin the "stream" material you can infact change both the audio and sub track :)

Videostream may play **some** ISO files, but it certainly doesn't play them all. I had a full length movie & Videostream simply could not "load" it; I gave it 15 minutes to finish loading, and tried repeatedly. Who needs another half-assed app? Get VLC, and forget this one.
