Hey everyone, my name is Octorious, and in this video, I will show you how to get a perfect PS5 Streamlabs setup without using a capture card. This video will show you step-by-step how to stream on PS5 using Streamlabs OBS without a capture card in 2022 and it is an extremely useful thing to know how to do, as it will allow you to get custom overlays on PS5 streams as well as transitions, screens and alerts. This how to stream PS5 on Streamlabs tutorial features gameplay, captured entirely by Streamlabs OBS in the same way I am going to show you how to stream on PS5 without using a capture card. UPDATE: Sony have applied a fix to the glitch to remove the 'Remote Play Connected' message. I am currently trying to find a way to remove this and will update this comment once I do. Please contact me on social media if you find a way yourself. :) I hope you all find this guide useful! 🔥 For those who want to know why 2 accounts are necessary, here is my explanation: _If you use your primary account to play the PlayStation and connect to remote play, this means you will have to play via the remote play window using a controller plugged into your PC. If you try to connect a controller to your primary account via the physical console, then the remote play session will end. You could just play from your PC using the 1 controller and 1 account, but then there is more stress on your internet, making the stream laggy. You will also experience input lag doing this, thus making games difficult to play which isn't something you want when you are trying to have fun on a stream. With the 2nd account, you can connect to the PlayStation using that account and then connect another controller to the physical system and play straight from the console on your primary account; the remote play session isn't ended. This way you get 0 input lag, can play on your PlayStation's display, and there should be less stress on your internet, thus making the stream smooth. I hope this explains to you why the 2nd account is necessary and I hope the video can help you out._

in trying to set this up , i’m on the step to on the second account where you go to other under settings and the option to play while offline is not an option . it is on the main account and when i switch from this second account back to the main account i am logged out and cannot connect to the remote play through this account . is this some new update playstation threw out to mess with console streamers? am i missing something ?? i can see the gameplay when it’s my main account but don’t want to play through my PC to do this. i have been using light stream to stream right to the browser and that has worked but it’s down tonight so i thought i would try to set this up and got stuck . thanks for the video if i can can get this taken care of i think this will work

THANK YOU for making this video! Rather than the quality of the stream itself, the one complaint I always had with streaming from the PS5 was its lack of ability to preschedule the stream and explicitly set which game is being played in the stream metadata. But this solves all of that without me having to run my PS5 through a capture card. Again, THANK YOU!

I actually figured a way around that before I found this. What you needed to do is just go to twitch on your pc and you can set goals your schedule title category and you can add extensions

Can you help me, this tutorials isn't working anymore. Ps remote play keeps shutting off while I'm setting up. The screen just says looking for gameplay, and when it didn't it was only showing the network screen. From the other account, not my stream account. When I log in to ps remote, it works, but won't show on the screen in stream labs. Then when I tried to erase the default game stream, and re add it, nothing happens at all now.

@@BotWhisperer I think it should be pretty similar with Stream labs. Were you able to connect to your PS5 from your PC? Make sure to enable it as well in the PS5's settings->System->Remote Play as shown in the video. Then in your Stream Labs use Window Capture. Then if it doesn't show you need to choose a different Capture Method for it when you open properties.

If you're facing the black screen on OBS when trying to window capture, just make sure the Capture method is set to "Windows 10 (1903 and up)" and it should work flawlessly.

You can also change the capture method from automatic to windows 10 or higher if you are on windows 10/11 or chose bitbit if you are 7/8

Guys... For the audio prob on multiplayer games... You have to remote play from the same user/account you are playing on... Do not use another account like explained on the video... W only one account you will be able to hear enemy/teammate audio and they will hear you too... But u have to connect your PS5 controller to your PC/laptop... I suggest using the usb cable... The bluetooth pairing ia kinda complicated to get right... So just use the usb cable to connect the controller... And remember to unmute urself on the remote play window on the PC/laptop

Hey thanks, dude. I was having real difficulties with lag and stream quality when I was streaming to Discord for a friend. Between plugging in Ethernet to the PS5 and using the 2nd Account Trick like this, the stream became lag-free and quality was decent for the friend and perfect for me since I was playing straight from the PS5. One thing to note for anyone trying to use this for Discord Streaming: Make sure to turn off 'Use Our Advanced Technology to capture your Stream' in the Voice & Video Settings. Unless this was turned OFF, I could not stream Remote Play, it was just a black screen beforehand. Also, make sure the Remote Play Window is 'Focused', meaning you click on the screen and do not click on any other window while you're streaming, not even Discord. Finally if you're using two monitors like me, and want to hide stream so you're not looking at two videos of the game playing at the same time, do not put it on your 2nd Monitor and turn it off, that won't work as the window will be minimized and Remote Play will be broken and need to be restarted. It's better to have it on the same Monitor you're using for the PS5 and just switch the inputs.

Fifine mic understandable, and it's a good mic yes I have one. But the capturecard you could literally buy a 10usd capturecard and have same exact results. Which yes I have one and play switch to stream and I've had no issues. Don't have to spend hundreds to have a decent capturecard, you can go for cheap and still have pro seeming streaming.

This works awesome! Only problem I'm having is there seems to be some glitching on the ps remote play on the computer. What settings should I put the resolution on the remote share? I have it at 360p and standard frame rate and I've tried everything higher. If I plugged my computer in with an ethernet cable would that help any?

Wired connect is ALWAYS better, but it looks like your internet speeds are slow or there is a lot of interference. If there are a lot of people using the wifi at the same time, you'll have issues for sure.

Unfortunately now due to updates the removal of remote play connection icon is no longer possible by changing language but probably just putting an icon overtop when live streaming is fine.

Do u mean Input Lag on your controller? If so, u need 2 controllers. Plug 1 controller with your secondary account via usb to your Pc and use another controller with your main account on the ps5. This works for me!

Can you do this without remote play? I want to use overlays, sound alerts, and sound commands, but I can only stream directly through the console. How do we do that/or why doesn’t PlayStation just have their own version of obs so I do not have to use a computer?

Only issue im having is the audio... I use an AUX cable headset... So i left it plugged in to the PS5 controller... The teamates and enemies can hear me an i hear them but no audio... Not even mine or teamates or enemies actually comes into the Stream

They have now added a "Hide Remote Play Message" option. the remote play status will go away when loading up any game after selecting the option....hope this helps

I also want to figure this out! Everything is fine during solo gameplay or games like horizon but when I join a party on warzone the dang chat comes through my remote?! I play on ps5 all the other boys play on pc. Please Help!!!

@@thecowboyscorner3740 I encountered this problem yesterday. I can hear gameplay, my party says they hear me clearly, but the game chat audio comes through the ps5 remote. I’m going to try Connecting the PS5 to discord and see if that works

This is so awesome because the only option i was looking at was a 400 dollar capture card and that's just too much. Question though, you mention you need another account with psn; so that means you have to pay for 2 psn accounts at once for this? I only ask cause I'm broke and even that would be difficult lol

I've been streaming with that method back in the PS4 days, but would not recommend it. Buying a cheap capture device (mine was 50 bucks) imo is the way to go. It saves so you time, runs more stable and in better quality. But if you just can't afford it, go ahead and use that method. It works.

Hey man. What issues do you generally have with this method? I am very interested and I’m about to try it because I want to enjoy when my gaming to the maximum… if I use a capture card I won’t be able to use my pulse 3D headset and get 3D audio nor will I get 120fps VRR as most (if not all capture cards) don’t allow 4k 120fps VRR pass through yet. The most I’ve seen is 4k 60fps VRR on the more expensive cards, but still no 3D audio (only stereo or you’ll have to invest in another mixer amp of some sort which are not cheap either) So this seems like the only affordable way to get the full gaming experience without sacrificing those features. It for reference, what issues have you encountered with this method?

I am not able to party up with people smoothly while having remote play active. I am also having the issue where game chat audio won't come through, but does only through headset if I have it connected. Might just have to go with capture card D,:
