How to stress test a PC to find errors and crashes

When Jay was talking about missing thermal paste I wonder if he was mentally was having flashbacks to the missing AIO thermal paste from the tech support challenge vs Steve.

So I recently installed a sensor panel which came with a cracked AIDA64. Ever since installing, my PC has been slow AF. Like, it can take over 10 seconds for a right click to register. How do I find what’s causing this? I’ve looked at task manager, nothing is using significant memory or CPU%, but I still turned off a few startup programs. I’ve checked updates for drivers, bios, and all the rest, but nothing changes it. System is a basically new 3700x and 3090 so can’t be hardware. Idk wtf to do next

So I had got an Asus ROG Strix 4090 OC as a replacement in an RMA. I play ArkSurvival Ascended and experience gpu error “out of memory” unless I run in win 7 compat and constantly get exception access violation errors m. Could it be a faulty GPU?

Hi guys even at stock my 13900k crashes when running multicire cinebench R23. But on the single core test it fully completes even at 5.8 all cores 4.3 all e cores?

Memtest is one of the most underused tools I find... I can't tell you how many times in the last 15 years working on customer PCs that "act weird" an overnight run of memtest showed "bad memory" (or defective memory sockets)

hello mate , i bought a gaming laptop and i have no idea what is what . all i noticed as soon as i start doing something fan start working which is unlike my normal laptop . my laptop is nvidia do i still have to use this ADM software on your video ? or something else . also i have lost my job somebody told me something about mining in gaming so i can make some money for a while . do you have any video for such things ? many thanks

Hello can you help me…. I done all the test and during those stress test my cpu is running good but as a start any game my FPS drops, it will be good at 60 and bam right to 3fps, when I check the cpu in task manager it’s dropping from 2.50 to 0. 65 or lower. I can’t tell what’s causing it.

Hey Jay, I have a question that seems to have to do with computer stability. I am playing Diablo 4 and Baldurs gate. I've been playing on the Ultra settings; however, I got some computer crashes that make my screen go to black and not display anything. My display is directly plug into my graphics card which is Nivida GeForce RTX 3090. my fans also appear to stop during this crash. first thought I had was it could be the temperatures, so I ramp up my radiators fans in the bios and got MSI afterburner to set a custom fan chart for the GPU. With that my temps in MSI for my GPU Have been sitting in the 60-70s C and the seems to be the CPU in a similar temperature range. After this update I could run Bladurs gate for 2-3 hrs on ultra before I crash again. Outside of them I have not notice any other of my games giving me issues. I have updated my graphics card drivers as well. I am unsure what is causing the stability issues any advice on this matter would help because I'm still a novice when it comes to computers.

I've found y-cruncher and OCCT to be the best memory and CPU stability tests. AVX2 / AVX512 instructions will always be the hottest and the memory controller load from y-cruncher will surface any memory issues. OCCT with about 75% of the max threads is useful when undervolting and memory tuning as it will catch weirdness with the windows task scheduler.

This is the kind of stuff I want to see. As PC enthusiasts we all should be ensuring a stable system. Build if yourself and you have to make sure it works yourself. Very helpful! Thank you for the video. This will be easy to share.

My most recent error was a difficult one. After a few minutes/hours of gaming (random), the PC blue screened and rebooted. The error code was pointing to memory, while I was thinking about the GPU being dead. I changed the PSU, I changed the RAM, and still, no improvements so I really was worried about my 3070Ti.

Jay you mentioned in a previous video about putting data on one drive and programs that use that data on another drive. Any way you could do us a video on that and why its helpful and show some examples. That would be awesome! Love your content and my first pc build was successful due too your videos.
