oh shit yes I needed this. I’ve been struggling these days to find clothes that look good on my body bc of my wide ass shoulders. thank you so much for this video!
Chile yes! I’m also plus sized so I always hate the way I look in every outfits since I gain a lot of weight on my back and shoulders. I’ve been looking for good videos ♥️
Can you please do more of this as a sort of series if your friends with different body types are willing to participate? I love how much effort you put into this, thank you!
as a 14 year old inverted triangle because i’ve cried so much from the hatred i have for my body, I LOVE YOU. Basically every other video i’ve seen is to hide the shoulders, no crops tops, nothing that I considered feminine BUT YOUUUU. I cried while watching this because it just made me so happy 😭 tysm you really boosted my confidence
Omg. You are so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so welcome!!!!!!! This video was made to give everyone confidence and to hopefully give you some tips and tricks to get you on the path to loving your body. Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment. I am wishing you the best on your best self journey Okatu Obsessed!!
@@dokessezeaka5159 it’s only been 7 months since commented that and my style has changes. now i do my best to avoid skinny jeans cause there just uncomfortable, i really don’t know how i wore them everyday.
I’m literally a mixture of hourglass, rectangle and inverted triangle. My body proportions are not exaggerated enough to be full hourglass, but I’m not completely straight shaped either, and my shoulders are a bit wider than my hips. So that literally encompasses a bit of all the 3 types I mentioned lmao
I am a cross between an inverted triangle and an hourglass. My waist is much smaller compared to my hips and bust (which measure the same) but my shoulders are a huge thing.
I mean, even if you are a rectangle shape it's normal that your waist measures a few centimeters less than your chest and your hips. Like for example, i know I'm an inverted triangle because even when my hips are wide and my waist is smaller than them my shoulders measurements will always be superior to anything else. When you have a rectangle body type, as some girls I had measured to make clothing, you don't really have a literal rectangle in your body, but your proportions will differentiate for few centimeters and your curves won't be as accentuated. But honestly this body type thing it's not wide enough to cover all different shapes that come in women bodies, so it makes sense.
you're so dope. I've been trying to find how to dress as an inverted triangle as a person in their twenties and this is EXACTLY what I needed. like this journey of trying to figure out what looks best on me has been 7 years and this is the best resources I've come across. THANK YOUUUUU.
loved this! i'm an inverted triangle and i've learned a thing of two in recent years about how to better pick out clothes so while watching this i was like YES, THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE.
just came from a video that basically listed almost all feminine styles as a no no. but your energy and advice really helped boost my self esteem thank you qween 🤲🥰
oooooo- yes!!! thank you so much for stopping by and watching Laurice! I'm so happy that I could help, ultimately wear whatever you want just as long as you feel super cool & confident!
@@YOHOMEGIRL aahhhh i didnt think you'd see this 🥺seriously just made my day! i was having a hard time shopping online for a dress i wanna wear for my first date and this really helped with my confidence, thank you so much again 💞💞💞💞💞
for the short-waisted inverted triangle girls, i highly recommend flowy peplum tops as they define your waist but not as high so your upper half doesn't look as blockish
Thank you for actually showing it on the girl with this body type! I definitely get all slouchy because of my chest. Bringing them back helps a bunch! To all the inverted triangle girls - I love you and we look freaking great!
i used to always tuck in my shirts but it never gave enough definition to my waist. im not confident enough to wear a crop top but i did start tying the bottoms of my shirts to create an itty bitty crop to my tops. even that itty bit of waist peaking through did so much for my outfits
Love this! Thank you, I’m have the hardest time finding clothes for my figure, on top of being an introverted triangle, I’m 5’2, no booty 😢 AND just had two babies back to back so all my weight is in my stomach unfortunately, always feel like I have negatives in each category! This was helpful, especially shorts!
Nathalie, you look gorgeous in the intro! That hairstyle suits you in such a perfect way✨ also the green eyeshadow is a LOOK™. Loved the video as always!!
I am an inverted triangle, but i absolutely love statement sleeves and shoulder pads! That bright pink ruffle top with the green pants was my favorite look 😍 totally gonna recreate that
So happy to see you incorporated the baggy low rise and realized how we totally rock that look...that's exactly what I do, the total exception to the high rise.
Love this! And thank you so much for the "how to make it work" segment instead of the AVOID IT ALWAYS advice bc sometimes we just want to wear stuff :( Thanks for this super cool video!
I literally loved all of these outfits! They all looked great on her. I also have a inverted triangle body shape and this video was super helpful. Thanks for sharing.
The crop tops I noticed at dance, looks best when it’s a baggy crop. So the pink ruffle works because the sleeves end at her waist. I noticed I stay away from tiered, or horizontally lined things.
I’ve watched this video 2 times already because of the self love talk. It’s been so hard to have my body type when the exact opposite bone structure/fat distribution is trending. Thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to look “perfect” + to speak to myself in a kinder manner. ❤️☺️
thank you so much this is the first video for my body shape i’ve ever found that fits the styles that are really in right now. everything else i’ve seen are all older women with tbh boring clothes or clothes that teenagers and younger women don’t really wear so tysm
I saw Katty in the thumbnail and I was like no wayyyyy isn't she the English teacher who came on solarsido???? And turns out it is her! Such a nice surprise to see this in my recommended.
Omg this video was a game changer! Been trying to figure out why slim (cigarette jeans) just don’t look good on me... feel like I need to re-invent my entire closet 🥴
Really good video , I enjoy you sharing all this body- positivity for all shapes and sizes . I hope to see some videos of pear and hourglass body shapes over time .
As an inverted triangle I actually hate flared pants because I feel like 2 - 4 sizes larger in them, so I appreciated your skinny jeans section and also that you support us wearing them. Plus, I like a mid/ high rise but too high and I’m all boob. 😉👍
FINALLY A VIDEO FOR MEEEEEE. Ive see a bunch of videos/info graphics on how to dress inverted triangles but they always don't match the aesthetic I want to achieve, the fashion is dated and I would have a hard time visualizing or the model doesn't actually have a inverted triangle. Thank you for this video. Power to you and Katty. 💕✨💕✨💕✨💕✨
Waiiiiittt now I know why high waisted pants and crop tops look so good on me and I absolutely love them!!! Especially crop tops, they make me feel like a dolly which I absolutely adore!! I have a petite body but I’m long so it kinda balances out just fine but I have noticed that my body shape is an inverted triangle and I don’t struggle much with clothes tbh cuz I think I understand what looks good on me well enough but I thought might as well educate myself! Thank you so so sooooo much for the video!!! You’re an absolute queen 🤍🤍
All these tips are very true, I also found that when it comes to sweatpants buying ones that have pockets on the sides help a lot with filling in the hips because of that extra fabric.
everytime ive seen videos like this its always been "minimalise your shoulders to look more feminine" ive always just wanted to dress well for them to accentuate :( this video has been refreshing so far! thankyou
This is the best video I've watched for the inverted triangle body shape! I love how it is relevant to today's fashion and the clothes are not outdated❤️
of all the videos i watched about my body type (some made me cry lmao) this is the best i ever watched, there’s color, a lot of modern fashion which makes me feel comfortable and a lot of insight about the outfits, it’s all beautiful, thank you so much 😭😭😭🖤🖤🖤
Wow this was the most reasonable video on inverted triangle I’ve seen! All the other videos keep saying to stay away from pieces but I was thinking you can just balance things out and this video confirmed it!💗
Omg I always wondered why I like my bodyshape in some pictures and hate it in others. I was literally just wearing the wrong clothes lol This helped me so much, thank you!
That bonus TLCish look 😍 I'm so old the 90's are coming back 😂 Also, I dont have 2 gmail accounts because password and account overload is a thing in my life. Lol Thanks for hanging with us Katty 💚 to y'all Edit: typo
The questioning of your own body type also got me questioning mine “Hey maybe I too have been wrong... all along 😶.” So I pulled out my trusty measuring tape to double check and it said “Girl, who you kiddin, you’re a tortilla chip 💃🏻.” W~heeeell alrighty then! Anyways thanks Nathalie for the awesome advice and the example pictures really kicked up a notch, super helpful! Side note: Love the bold eye looks, the green especially pops
I love how much color you use in your outfits!! I'm trying to branch out of just neutrals because I'm a brighter dark autumn or darker bright spring? Anyway I can mix and match colors from both
I love the way you addressed this topic. Thank you so much. I've been watching a lot of videos that rule out a lot of things I see Lisa, and Jennie and Rose wearing and looking so damn good in and I'm like, so why not. Thanks for explaining the rules in an inclusive way. Love your energy and personality.
