This is CRAZY AMAZING. I have lived in continental Europe and I am from southern Europe and that means that maybe my side of the continent is a little more 'ethnic' (for lack of a better word) with curly dark hair and big earrings (so not necessarily 'preppy' or northeast coast USA). I like what I see in this video because I think I can add a little of my heritage to what Mme Lecoeur is demonstrating so that I can celebrate authenticity and origin with a lovely chic simplicity. Having said all that - the energy here - as much as the outfits that are fabulous - is inspirational to me. Before watching these videos (which I do every few months just to kick my imagination into 'start') I was lazy and complacent. If you want to open your horizons, get off your butt and really try to see things differently in your clothing, mood, style, self-perception, and... life then take this positive self-work exhibited here with you. I know this video came out a while ago but love the ease with which you put items together! I went to my closet, rearranged items by color and found so many combinations! Amazing what I had to work with even though I have a very minimal number of pieces. I realized that I could tastefully combine items that I never thought would match. Fortunately I am drawn to navy, white, and black so I had lots of core pieces that mix and match. Thank you so much.

I love your energy Marie-Anne! The comment about an outfit for rock climbing made me laugh! Seriously, I love this format of video. It's right up there with your "on location" outdoor videos which I love. This format is so helpful for us to assemble outfits. The comment that stood out for me was to overthink what you buy. I really like that, because I've often brought in random pieces to my wardrobe that are difficult to match up. I LOVE the red ballet shoes and red Mary Janes, but I don't care for the snakeprint heels with the blue and white stripes. For me, it doesn't work. That was the first video which I have seen of you. You have opened my eyes for a capsual wardrobe. Of course I have know before, everything should be match together but I have never tried it. After watching your clip I cleared my wardrobe and tried on everything. Matching trousers, shoes, shirts, sweaters, belts, it took me four hours..... I love watching and listening to you explain your clothes. It makes me miss my step mother so much. But reminds me of such a wonderful lady. She lives in Spain now and has a house in France also. Both beautiful places. And beautiful people. I miss Europe. I never did learn how to dess as stylish as her. The striped shirt especially reminds me of her. Unfortunately I have a 36 inch inseam so I can never find such nice jeans as you are showing here. I do have one of her rain jackets she gave me last time I visited her about 5-6 years ago. I'm loving the dresses on your dress forms! I find that suddenly as I've gotten older I need to wear softer shapes and colours, it's hard to adjust. I put on my favourites and they are unexpectedly harsh looking.

I love ''marinieres'', I have got a lot of these, classical or not. I began to Wear them at 16 ro envoyé my Friends whitch had clothes with flowers, prints and I didn't like this and wanted to be différent. When I don't liké fashion I Wear this. Thé avantage of this outfits it doesn't make too.much volume and is very simple, has a good design. I liké your bootcut jean very much, I am happy this sort of cloth is coming back. I love it when you go, "Wooo, (Oh la la), so cute when pointing out a discreet sexy feature in a clothing item. I would prefer my jackets to go below the sweater, no sweater or top peaking out from below the hemline of the jacket. Everything is so smart. Now I must look for some loafers, which I have completely looked over when shoe shopping. I used to wear them when I was 13, in the late 60s.

I’m watching again and love the leather jacket and long jacket. I may even try the longer jacket and jeans as I’ve got a couple of striped tops somewhere in my wardrobe. I tried a good quality striped jumper and wished I’d got it now as I suited it. I can see all your quality clothes and know what you mean. I have some good clothes but some crap when I compare to yours so I will think before I buy from now on.

It’s amazing how a jacket and a pair of shoes can change up an outfit. Loved the video and all the outfits you created. I usually try to think of what outfits I can make with a new piece but the way you shared shows how many options are possible. ❤️

It’s me again ! I’d like to see a video about Jane Birkin ‘s style and also Charlotte Rampling . I am reading a lot of Albert Camus at the moment and it has brought back memories of that Left Bank life of the 50s ( you can tell how old I am ) and remember Juliette Greco and Simone de Beauvoir , who is another of my favourite authors. I’d love a video about that era and influence on fashion which was happening alongside the totally different New Look of Dior .

I love your idea of just trying it on to see how it looks. I’m definitely going to start looking at what I haven’t paired before to see if I find new combinations! I’m 39 and love the idea of learning how to dress in ways that flatter rather than focusing on your age.
