Hi Lydia, just wanted to say thank you for these videos. I have been binge watching! I have just turned 51, starting my life over alone and have moved into a new flat by the sea... I decluttered before I moved and I don't have many items of clothing I love anymore (I used to make expensive 'magpie' mistakes) so I am looking forward to building a new wardrobe as I start my new life! I want to be much more discerning and considered about the pieces I choose now and your videos have been sooo helpful! I feel like you are giving us the tools to put outfits together that make sense and look elegant and stylish while still feeling comfortable which is a priority for me... and you nail this! One of things that has held me back was that I felt that I'd end up looking more polished than most people I am around and worried I'd be over dressed in comparison. And then I remembered that we have this one life.. so why the heck would we want to dim our own light because we're afraid others won't like it? Excited for this new journey 😄
I'd LOVE to see a mistakes video of things you just wouldn't buy or bought and didn't wear. I think you've done one of these which I've seen, maybe they could be seasonal autumn/winter and spring/summer? Love this video, I always find oversized is a challenge, especially being plus size.
More content on silhouette studies please! Thanks so much I learnt a lot! It’s so essential to plan the whole silhouette when getting dressed it makes everything work together
I have added more slouchy Trousers to my wardrobe, so thank you for your styling video! Your videos are helpful! Thank you!💗 Could you style a knit wear video?
I've been waiting for this video! I used to avoid pleated pants until I saw you style your h&m pants, and since then, I've added several slouchy trousers and jeans. Thanks for a great video.
I love the outfit with the black elongating coat and pointed boots. Slouchy and wide leg jeans and trousers are one of my favourite trends. With a pear shape, they help to de-emphasize the hips and thighs as they draw the eye downward in a streamlined way.
This video is really great ! I’ve been loving this look but feeling a little uncomfortable to put outfits together. You have totally nailed this look!🦋
I had bought a pair of slouchy troursers back in the day, but I had no clue of how to style them. So I ended up giving them away...But, now that I have this video with your style tips, I think I will be buying a couple pairs of Slouchy troursers for my wardrobe 👍🏾. Thank you so very much for sharing my friend ❤️. Take care and enjoy the rest of your evening 🤗💕.
Hi lydia! Can you do an episode on online shopping guide. Tips for a fail safe online shopping. Believe me it is hard to shop online without seeing the clothes material especially the fit. Talk about kind of fabrics and how they tend to feel or fall against your body. Like sizing up for a specific type of non stretch fabric, etc
Thank you thank you thank you for these styling details and tips. you have spurred my obsession with styling my clothes after so many years of just not being style conscious at all! I am just sad that the Weekend clothing company does not ship to the US online. Maybe there are boutiques here? Keep up the great sharing, lots of love ❤️
Love how these trousers look on you! For me being a petite ( 5ft1) hourglass i would look like wearing my big brothers pants. So unfortunately not for me … will have to stick to my skinny trousers.
I wouldn't rule them out! I'm also 5'1 but I love slouchy trousers. I just make sure they're a little more fitted at the waist and hip so they're not so overwhelming on me
You are soooo good Lydia! Thank you for listening and coming up with excellent tips. I have one more style dilemma- so we all know pretty well now to style neutrals but- i want some color again..... pls style color pops and color on color. I never know how to style blue, pink and red. I always only wear blue with pink and red with black. It’s just not working any more.
Absolutely Love your fashion!!! I would like to see more time and longer focus on the visual and modeling aspects as you’re narrating. Even though I enjoy watching you talk , I want to be able to study the actual outfit more closely , thanks 💕
* slouch jeans are tricky when you are short. Pairing a long line coat with trainers just swallowed be up & I looked dumpy/frumpy. Any suggestions to make the look longer & leaner without looking like a skater girl??
I went to Weekend and Beyond. As hard as I’ve prayed , I refuse to believe I can’t find trousers that fit beautifully for under $200-300! The ones I love with the slender long look and pleated front are ridiculously high!over $300. Whyyyyy. And I’m not that cheap but nooooooo! 😌♥️
I don't know where you shop, but yeah that is a ridiculously high price to pay for a pair of pants...I look at it from a perspective how many times i will get to wear them, and what i have in my closet to match them with...if i have more than 2 tops and i can wear them for 3 seasons then I'll splurge.
First of all thank you for all your information, excellent. It’s been a lot of help. Can you please tell me the brand of the slouch pants. I am retiring in a couple of years ,and this has helped me so much to declutter my closet.
I couldn't get chunky jumpers to stay rolled under & they were to bulky to tuck in... So... I folded them up & pinned them to my bra (it just depends on the bulk how many small safety pins it took). It works- You don't have to worry about your tuck falling out or retucking after using the restroom. Now... if you are trying on a lot of clothes, it could become a pain in the butt!
Hi Lydia, I love your styling tips and love to watch your videos. I'm wondering if you can suggest how to style knee high boots. I used to love wearing them with skinny jeans tucked in. Now that skinny jeans are out, how do we style our favorite tall boots with jeans?? I can only think of wearing them with midi skirts and dresses.
About the casual outfit slouchy jeans. I can't wear a coat because I live in a humid county. How can I make it work with the jeans trainers and bodysuit to look more sophisticated
Can you ever talk about slow to pants without pleats many of us have a tummy and can’t wear pleats. Is there such a thing as slouchy pants without pleats?
Thanks Lydia, just wondering how you clean your trousers? Do you have to take them to the dry cleaners or can you get away with washing them at home? Thanks
I'm mystified by European weather which always seems perfect for a medium to lightweight jacket or trench coat. I live in the US midwest and it's either bloody hot and uncomfortable or ridiculously cold. Temperate days are few and far between which really sucks because so many European street style photos seem to highlight outfits with jackets. I also reduced going to the office radically so I have no where to 'dress up' any more. I love the slouchy trousers though because in my region people are still obsessed with skinny jeans and on curvier bodies they can really be tight an uncomfortable. Guess I'm trying to find trousers that will double as casual fare like black denim or cotton/poly blend. You look really classy and elegant though.
I feel you... in Australia, Melbourne we have been in lockdown so long I've been wearing sweatpants forever! BUT... Lydia has inspired me to dress up a bit even for my daily walk to my cafe!!! Slouchy pants would do the trick I reckon 😄😄😄
anyone out there who can't wear high waisted trousers that has found a slouchy mid-rise trouser? I love the look but I can't wear high waisted trousers.
The chunky round toe boot with slouchy trousers is such a trend right now and I agree it looks like shit 😂 I see influencers everywhere wearing this trend
Kinda feel slouchy pants only look good when they are made of natural protein fibers such as silk or silk/linen/wool blend. The beauty of slouchy pants lies in the beautiful, graceful flowing/draping curves, and artificial materials never (or at least seldom) do the trick. The pair of Weekend and Beyond beige pants looked cheap and ugly, especially when on the move.
Every time i see haul you made i wish i live your life , beautiful stunning stylish cute and high class . i love your channel . I am replica collector for more than 2 years, i have never seen better replicas then ones *XGUCI* , honestly.
