No. The red and white RCA outputs are designed to send a low level audio signal to an external amplifier. This is typically done with RCA cables that are 10-15 feet long. The external amplifiers job is to amplify the low level signal it receives through the RCA input. Next to send that amplified signal to a subwoofer or other speaker. hello i have a taramps tl1500 amp and i can not figure how to make sub and speakers connected to the amp to work, using the rear/sub option...can you give any advice?
Please contact taramps for support with that product. Be sure to have the in-dash receiver's RCA outputs directly connected to the amplifier's RCA inputs. The Pioneer receiver's Blue/White wire needs to be connected to the REM connection on the amplifier. My subs are turning up or down are my rcas in the wrong spot? They only turn up to volume and there not pushing what they should I know what they sound like
In order to control the subwoofer output from the receiver, be sure to setup the Rear RCA outputs as subwoofer outputs, and to connect the Rear/Sub RCA outputs to the external amplifier. You can see it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dMsL-5uwogw.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's RU-vid Channel here: ru-vid.com
With the subwoofer output set to +10, as you turn up the in-dash receiver master volume, at some point the subwoofer will likely distort. If you are looking to have a louder subwoofer I recommend to get a more powerful amplifier and subwoofer that can handle that power. If you have a better amplifier and subwoofer, you won't need to put the in-dash receiver's subwoofer level to +10. You'll be able to put the subwoofer level at 0, 1, or 2. I recently purchased the DEH-S510BT headunit, and I’m curious to try out the Direct SubDrive feature it has, just to put a small sub in my system so I can HPF my small dash speakers to save them from playing low end. My manual for the HU doesn’t demonstrate how to wire a sub to utilise the Direct SubDrive, just simply states it can be achieved. How do I go about wiring a subwoofer to my HU to utilise the feature; either a 2Ohm or 4 Ohm sub? Many thanks! :)
There is more than one way to approach this. First is to buy a small subwoofer ( I recommend 6.5 inch or 8 inch at the largest) put it in a small enclosure and wire it directly to the in-dash receiver Rear Speaker Outputs. If you are using 4 ohm woofers, you can wire one to each of the rear speaker outputs. Or just one, wired to the Purple and Purple/Black Right Rear speaker Output. If you are using a 2 ohm woofer wire it to the Purple and Purple/Black Right Rear Speaker output. Do not wire anything to the Green and Green/Black Left Rear speaker output. You can change the rear speaker outputs from full range to Subwoofer out in the Initial Menu on the in-dash receiver. This will give you Audio controls over the subwoofer output. You can see it on a similar Pioneer receiver in this How To video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z6g0EOPZL0c.html and you can learn more about wiring your Pioneer in-dash receiver here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kR2MO2kwFug.html This wiring is described in the Quick Start Guide included with the in-dash receiver. You can find it here: catalogs.pioneer-car.eu/Manuals/DEH_S510BT_QRD3577_quickstart_manual/#/ A second way to approach this is to buy a small self powered subwoofer like the Pioneer TS-WX130DA. You can see it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yD_vHbTkHuU.html The TS-WX130DA is a compact woofer designed to go under the front seat of many vehicles and stay out of the way yet still deliver a reasonable amount of bass. It's a self amplified woofer. It will need power, ground and signal from the in-dash receiver. Deckerd Otto thank you for your very detailed and quick response to my question, I would like to say it is greatly appreciated! Excellent, for a temporary measure I’ll be wiring a small 8” sub I picked up today to the rear violet wires, just so I can HPF my small dash speakers to save them trying to play low frequencies they naturally struggle to play, and send them to the sub instead. Thank-you once again for your guidance!

Yes. Here is a video about the subwoofer controls on the Pioneer DEH-S4220BT. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dMsL-5uwogw.html It's nearly identical to the subwoofer settings for DEH-S420BT. Dynamic bass control is a proprietary system designed by Pioneer for systems that don't have a subwoofer. It can add a boost of selected harmonic frequencies of lower bass notes in the music. This can give a sense of bass notes in a system that does not playback lower notes very well. The dynamic aspect means as bass notes in the music are louder or softer, the affected harmonic frequencies will be boosted to a similar extent. There are 3 level settings to choose from Low, Hi and off. Choose the level that works best for you and your favorite music. there is no reason to choose one or the other. The ARC app is a powerful tool. you may want to keep the wired remote coiled up by the sub just in case you want to use it at a later date.
Yes, you can use the ARC app as the main control of the subwoofer output from the in dash receiver. That means the ARC app will control the in dash receiver and the signal it's sending to the subwoofers. You can use the subwoofer wired remote to get more output from the subwoofer. Start by setting the subwoofer wired remote in the middle. Use the ARC app to control the sub from there. If you think you need more output from the sub woofer adjust that wired remote a little.
Deckerd Otto es thankyou i was playing with it yesterday sounds great i hava a 50 boss 1100 amp i think this radio can push a better amp necause the boss over heated with too much gain so i turned it back down it still sounds great thanks!
No. The blue/white wire switches external devices, like amplifiers or power antenna, on and off with the in-dash receiver. If the receiver is on, the external devices are also on. Hey, i have 4 speakers in my car, + an active subwoofer. i cant get the subwoofer to work, i have the mvh-s100ub. I wired my sub with rca. But it just doesnt work. theres power in the sub but it seems like that my pioneer radio is recognizing 2 of the 4 speakers as sub i think.
MVH-S100UB is a European model and I don't know it very well. I think you'll need to change the initial setup. Take a look at this video for the RCA output set up. The model in the video is different, but similar: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YNniqyTm-TE.html If your active subwoofer has a built in crossover, be sure to switch it on at around 80Hz.
The North American version of Pioneer MVH-S300BT has fixed illumination. No Color Change. You can see it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pMKUPcGE26c.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ru-vid.com
