How to successfully end a rabbit protest

A tiny pet rabbit is under the couch, engaged in an epic protest. This is an attempt to lure the rabbit out.
Pigpoke rabbit likes to hide and play, and make cute rabbit videos of all types and shapes. Sometimes the rabbit becomes a mad rabbit, performs a rabbit stomp, and runs away. The rabbit hides under the couch when he is mad and wants you to know it. The rabbit wants you to find him and apologize. Apologize for what? Who knows? Some imagined slight, no doubt.
When a rabbit is engaged in a rabbit protest, nothing will get the rabbit to be playful again like a nice chew brick. He likes rabbit toys and rabbit foods, but there is something about a nice brick that just hits differently when he's mad.

He really likes that treat! His eyes are half closed in food appreciation. Everytime I see him, I think that he's such a gorgeous bunny! And he has such a lovely home life! I'd like it if Oreo would enjoy a treat like that. We are so reluctant to attempt anything new now, as it's been 6 years, and he just rejects most everything. (Well, he's pawernts are equally picky, so what can I say?) I must edit. Unfortunately I learned I have been fooling myself, trying to make myself think Oreo was younger. I finally looked at his baby pictures. We got him in 2014. I was hoping to keep him longer, and I was wrong. 🥺 He was 8.

I never knew you could let rabbits loose like a dog or a cat because I knew people who has bunnies as pets and they keep them in a cage because they eat houseplants. It looks like so cute especially the way it eats.

This is a different sort of peace offering than any I've seen before. It seems very effective! I wonder why he was protesting? 🤔 Maybe some love was offered to him in a manner he deemed unacceptable? Or just one loving stroke too many? We will never know! We just know that all is forgiven... For now. 😈🐰

@@jaaman0670 ahhh ok! I understand now. Yes, I don't get how bullfighting is still allowed in this day and age. I visited Spain 20 years ago for a 3 day break, it was very beautiful, and warm, but I saw several bullfighting stadiums. I find it appalling that it happens, so much animal cruelty. 😥🐮

Please be careful with the recliners, the rocking function means if an animal is under while someone sits down- there's a risk of the animal being hurt by things poking down or being squeezed in the sides of it. Maybe you already thought of these things, but I just realized this at home myself and wanted to share just in case.

Is sweet little Pigpoke OK, why has he taken to hiding away? Was it because he has been handled more lately, although he has not been picked up. What a difference to Angel Pipkin, who loved being picked up but he was never abandoned I did not think Pigpoke minded being made a fuss of, he seems to enjoy being stroked. Whatever happened to that beautiful rabbit before he was adopted by his lovely family clearly had a psychological impact on him. I always think his brown eyes are beautiful but look sad. Poor rabbit, he is not a bad rabbit and needs your love more than ever, he was so abused, he has trouble showing affection and trust but I know he loves you both In time, he will appreciate what wonderful people have adopted him, and how lucky he is. With time and understanding Pigpoke will be back to his cheeky self.

Just asking, do you have trouble with Pigpoke when it comes to brushing? Because I have a method I use with my own bunnies because they're food motivated like him

He will tolerate a brushing if he's eating. If you have a trick, we're all ears! :D

Well, if similar to what you're doing now, I give my rabbits a little pile of their food and then when they finish it I brush them and then when I brushed for a little, I give them a little pile again and so on. It works every time but it's harder because there's two and they jumping on lap and begging for food while I brush them (still working on that)
