Excellent tips to protect the shoulders

I've watched several videos and done a little yoga, but I can't seem to find a consistent definition of what is "sun salutation" and what is not sun salutation. For instance, the child's pose is demonstrated here. Is child's pose part of a basic sun salutation?

I’m trying to learn this. But I just need the correct instruction maybe talking about the right way to do it all the way through at a pace that doesn’t make me sit there holding my exhale for 60 seconds while I wait for you to explain all the ways you’ve seen it done wrong at any given transition. It might be a lot to process but if you just did it Sayin went to exhale and inhale about three times through without pausing at the wrong times to give random instruction I feel like I could learn much much faster. Then I could start to understand how to perfect it.
