Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse - amzn.to/2u66V1J
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z

What I love about watching these interviews is hearing the different ideas from all these different folks. Some I agree with, some I don't, but all of it is really valuable and a great way to get the juices flowing. Congrats on your fast approach to over 700 of them!

We can find great examples of double reversal in Anime , especially the ones produced by studio ghibli . Also hunterxhunter is a great example of double reversal in modern anime :)

Joe, we make it a point to feature diversity. Always nice to hear that others pick up on that. Grateful that you continue to take time to watch these videos of ours. If there are ever any areas of interest you would like us to cover, please do not hesitate. Are there certain topics you look forward to more than others? Our goal was to try to hit 700 by the end of this month. Not sure if we can do it. Cheer us on. : )

Only way to really surprise the audience is with a truly, truthfully complex character. Like Psycho for example ... Snape another example but I prefer Norman Bates. Snape is masterfully constructed, but Bates feels alive. That character could've sustained a True detective series all on his own, while Snape needs a whole series to fully emerge.

The first character I thought of that relates to this would have to be Felix from Red vs Blue

2:15 - I don't understand how Snape's way of switching sides didn't get old for other readers. At some point, sooner rather than later, his switches became predictable.

I remember the whole thing about Snape in books 5-7 being a toss-up as to whether he was a good guy or a bad guy. There was an ambiguity to him until the last book.

There was an ambiguity until the very end. You are on guard for him to help or make things worse. You couldn’t predict him.

I'll shoot you an email, got a couple ideas. One thing I'm trying to learn more about is DIY lighting. I've love to hear from folks who make stories without giant light kits and how they approach it.

Sorry to intrude, but I hope that the invitation of topic-suggestions is open to everyone! I, and I'm sure many others, would love to hear about how John developed his material. From Buddhist principles about the individual to entire cultural systems, he hits the nail on the head every time, regardless of subject! How does he know so much about life's lessons and what doesn't he know??

everything inherently has a start middle and an end-can't understand why we fret over the obvious.plot is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd ,,,,,,,,,and nth most important thing of a story Imagine, experiment to the best u can IN UR MIND-even before u put pen on paper-many times swords kill your imagination-words may titillate u for a while-but a thought leaves stronger impression

I am Twelve and a self published author. In my story the antagonist for the whole book, doesn't turn out to be the worst villan, but an ally. I am working on my sequel and he is an ally. I didn't even watch this before I did that. Pat on my back, :)

Double reversal is not an advanced technique, it's pretty simple. Just because it isn't used often in most genres doesn't mean that it's harder to do, or takes more skill. The protagonist/s is/are the main shaper of the theme and whether a double reversal is a suitable plot twist. John Truby is way overrated as a "screenwriting guru".
