@@herculyys I like it honestly. It punishes you for not paying attention and not taking your time. It's fair and makes it so that you cannot just slap an alch and run every map blind to its mods.

I actually played a SSF HC char for the first time last week, mostly to get the steam achievements for it. Took me 3 attempts to get to endgame, playing EDC trickster, although on the third attempt I ended up leveling with toxic rain til about level 70 cause I got a quill rain from delirium in submerged passage. Ended up dying at level 86 to a lich fight cause my flasks were out and I didn't have a logout macro set up, so unfortunately I still have 2 of the achievements missing (90 and uber lab), I'll probably try again in the downtime after harvest league.

Ziz, Ty for these in depth talks about how you think about the game especially hardcore. I tried some hardcore in metamorph and I'm trying again in harvest and one thing I always wonder is what to do with my maps. I'm used to alch and go, but I have also seen people running just blue maps rather than alching. Any rules of the for this type of thing? Thanks again!

It really has more to do with understanding game progression with gearing. You need to find the balance where you know you can progress because you know your gear is good enough. Good enough meaning that you have enough stats to support hits that you expect you'll have to take. That is the ultimate metric because eventually you'll get hit at least once. And when i say gearing, I am including the skill tree.

you ask at the end if people enjoy longer video, personally I do, because I have it on another screen while actually playing POE, so I pay more attention to some section that feels more relevant to me and just enjoy the background info in the meantime without having to find something else to play every 15-20mins

I'm looking on the new PoB for the new keystone that gives soul tether's overleech effect and can't find it. Can anyone confirm where it is or what change occurred in regards to soul tether/overleech?

About converting twice, does that only apply damage taken or also to converting your own damage. For example Divine Ire with avatar of fire. Divine Ire converts 50% to lightning, does the converted lightning damage also convert 50% to fire or does it stay lightning damage? Does anything change if I use a physical to lightning conversion damage (meaning you deal no physical damage) on Divine Ire?

I personally think the call of staunching on an instant flask is a really average. For normal bleeds it can be OK whilst leveling. But late game having to deal with corrupted bloods with only an instant bleed flask is going to cause issues in a few ways. Either you spam your flask when you get corrupted blood mobs that insta 20 stack you cos you hit them. Or your going to simply not have charges to kill the mobs and not die to a 20 stack. You can break this down into a million other ways you can die to having bleed removal/immunity on your life flask. I have watched this kill ALOT of people, Myself included. Bleed on defensive(or enduring mana flask has been my new fav), Chill on speed flask, curse on any other utility. I found this has been my most consistent combo for over 5 years.

Tips for console players "yeah your screwed"... totally agree haha... trying to flask on controller is annoying as hell because every 2-3 seconds you have to take your thumb off the movement stick hit every direction on d pad and hit both bumpers ... so everytime you flask your a sitting duck for 2-3 seconds... unless you have an elite controller or scuff pad it's going to annoy. .. which Is why i wish there was an auto flask feature it would be so useful.

I wanted to learn path of exile but It felt too overwhelming so I learned web development instead. This week I landed my first job as a paid programmer. Now I finally gained the confidence to slowly start learning PoE. @Edit: I changed my mind, there's just too fucking much to learn in this game.

I really don't want this to sound offensive because I can tell you care about the POE community with your 1.5 hour video. However, I find it extremely difficult to understand you. I am even trying to use subtitles to assist. I guess my only feedback would be potentially to pronunciate words with more purpose. I would 100 percent watch the whole video if I could understand otherwise. Anyways, I still liked the video because you seem like a great dude.

I think the main issue with new guys is the amount of information that needs to be learned to play the game... The game is fun alright, but it takes time to learn all the complexities to make a character work.
