Map knowledge is also key. I would love a tutorial on different rank maps. Which maps are advantageous for which division, strengths and weaknesses, Flank options, how to counter different divisions etc.

Yeah map guides are planned for the future, Wanted to wait for Ranked seasons before I make them. So that we have a clear ranked pool etc. for which I then can always update the guide.

@@sd_league Current ranked seems a bit off. I get leveled vs such high people and most of the times nobody is searching lol

@@53strat55 the filter opens up a bit too quickly, leading to you gettin pushed against top players quite quickly, thats why you also dont see anybody searching.

These are Base-Guidelines obviously WARNO is highly complex so there is not a 1 fits all approach! What other topics in WARNO do you struggle with and want to have some Guide videos for? Does anyone actually use the battle group system to deploy well balanced sets of companies across multiple lines of advance? Or that too rigid for multiplayer? Maybe its better in dense battle spaces with 6+ players
@ClintEastwooodPS3
@ClintEastwooodPS3 5 месяцев назад
i always use battlegroups, because i usually use the same combinations in different variants. (and otherwise i would need more then 10 minutes for the setup) For example longrange platoon with metis, konkurs and airpod. middle range spg9 , mg statics and airpod. For churches and tall buildings 2 atgms, spg9 and a scout. For attacks i use wobbles of infantry, so a platoon makes sense to get em quick and at the same time to the frontline. And i think its quicker to search in the battlegroups instead of open every siingle tab in the regular menue. Thats why i have a group only with units i pick very often and i pick them one by one, not the whole platoon. Stuff like artillery and AA needs supply, it makes sense to put em together in a platoon. I#m playing very specialised anyway, thats why i always have the same combined arms-wobbles, it works perfect to group them together.

@@ClintEastwooodPS3 yeah hey thanks for that just played my first multiplayer matches last night and definitely looking at a different unit mix from what I would typically run into at the AI and my battle groups makes sense for playing against the AI and oftentimes have realistic line inf company rein , aslt companies support packages or armored. Which the reinforcements that I do the line of triple tunes are very similar to what you're describing so I might just need to be better at understanding what mix to send in multiplayer versus a very slow and methodical approach I take in AI skirmish But given what you said I think it would make more sense to have each company be specific playstyles as opposed to realistic compositions for multiplayer. Back to the drawing board

@@rugerdie4054 sadly you cant do companys for different playstyles, because the units are not available if you put all cards in it. would be great to do so. i've got 50 hours in the armory, always the same fav division, and i think i have the perfect deck and battlegroup for all circumstances.

Do you change your opener for longer games 4000pts? I only play Against AI, to have fun with more realistic tactics (defensive > probing > Massing > Combined Arm Condition setting > assault> Consolidation> repeat)

AI only applying Russian realistic meat shield tactics so far. They aren’t completely dumb, but they often just push forward with a lot of tanks. Good players are way smarter than AI, even than extreme AI

@@azzlack99 yeah the main problem I see with the AI is over utilization of predictable AoAs without proper combined arms (Lethal and Smoke FIRES, tanks up front followed by Mech/Motorized infantry). They also tend to rush IFVs/Tanks into obvious urban terrain death traps without infantry and recon up front. I think the AI does a decent job at defense in depth, but again their order of battle for assaults is generally trash if the player has set up proper defensive positions with appropriate weapon mix. Very Hard and Hardest AI is pretty good at using fires with the latest update. Caused me to be more cautious with inf pushes in the open and ensuring my assembly areas are concealed from en observation. On a side note, Russian "meat waves" are dramatically overstated in the Ruso-Ukrainian War. I suggest you watch History Legends video on this topic to get a non-NAFO perspective (admittedly rusophilic). He explores the history of this terms usage to disparage non-western militaries in post world war two conflict zones.

@@rugerdie4054 don‘t need to watch Ziggler-TV to know it’s widely not overstated. If there’s a road with like 2-3 knocked out BMPs, BTRs & tanks, but you still keep sending vehicles at broad daylight with your infantrymen sitting on top ALTHOUGH you know there’s lots of drones, artillery & Bradleys flanking that same road, then we can for sure speak of braindead tactics. Didn’t say all of them are like this, I‘ve seen some VDV soldiers using combined arms together with artillery, 2 BMDs, 1 tank & a Mi-24, but Russians often use the same tactics as in WW2

@@azzlack99 Yes and? Do I need to bring up Bradley square. This conflict is absolute fucking tragedy for all involved. Given the terrain and sensor suites and strike package available to both sides doesn't leave many option for offensive maneuver, but to push forward with mechanized Inf deployments after artillery preparation to gain footholds. It is really the only viable option but there is a significant equipment and human cost. Both sides have done this during their offensive operations. But to call it just a human wave tactic is not a correct use of that terminology. That's what the video explores. The fact that you won't even look at it confirms your bias

First time watching your content and hearing you talking. The content and quality of info is really awesome thanks for sharing that. The delivery is a little hard for me, the staccato of your voice and high burst speed at which you formulate your sentences is difficult for me to follow. That's not a negative critic, but a constructive and honest feedback: work on your diction man, relax, internet will always be faster than ou no matter what you do. PEACE,...
