Not going to be a professional way but an idea or direction on how to remove an alarm if you ever came home with an alarm tag on your purchase and was had no time to go back to the store.
Thank you! It worked! I ordered pants for my son online, and they forgot to remove the tag. I watched videos where they cut the tag, burned the tag, forked the tag...this was much simpler and quicker!
Worked perfect, I found it was easier to apply firm pressure apart, twisting it around and around is the key. I was about to cut it off with a grinder but your way I got it off in 20 seconds lol
I just cut the mechanism off with a serrated steak knife, cuts through the plastic like a hot knife through butter, drop the ball bearing out, remove pin. Return the tag to the store next time you are there as an F.U to the store paying the clerk below minimum wage so they dont give a shit about removing the tag.
I live in the desert so I was too scared to do the fire method. Once I got the tag loosened I used needle nose pliers on the small side and then it broke off, Yay! I don't know why the alarm didn't go off at kohls so thank you so much for this!

OMG thank God someone mentioned this way either rips the fabric it seriously stretches it out!!! I'm going to do videos showing how to get every different tag off, ink or not, with or without a magnet, but none of these will damage the product... I guarantee it!

No bullshit all u do is put one foot on each side of handle side and use both hands to pop it free while ur feet are keeping pressure on the jeans.🤣🤣🤣 I've been hittin em over the head like this for years!!
The best way to open those kind of tags that doesn’t have a magnetic lock is to use an angled dentist scaler. There is a small hole at the top of the tag.
Ya magnets works on alot of them but not these type. These type have a lil hole ontop they use this curved metal hook to open them with. Whats a angled dentist scaler? Where can u find one?
How could they miss to remove it, why did it set the alarm on while coming out so that they would've removed it then and there... This happened to me now and can't go back to store again, its too far to go just for this...😭
Hey just wanted to let you know that I had a pair of socks so this method did not work for me but I shoved a small screwdriver down inside of the hole and pried it apart it broke the one while I did it twice the first one worked a little bit easier a little metal piece fell out of the inside of it as I popped the plastic off the side of where the hole is the other one is entirely popped apart and you can release the metal piece on the inside there is no magnet really that I can see and no ink if there was a magnet it was very low-powered
My girlfriend having this problem but its on a bra strap. We bought it from a mall more than 3 hours away. Do you know if these are filled with ink? I have a Dremel and can cut through it if it's not filled. Because I'm sure too much pressure will rip the bra strap
