The Lore Tour is back! Real life should always come first for a RU-vidr, and mine has been exceptionally chaotic over the past few months. New apartment, new job, family - the whole thing. But now we have reached a new period of stability, and videos will be regularly appearing once more. Thank you for your patience! By the way - if you want to chat with me and others in the community more regularly, remember to check out our Discord! discord.gg/3HQsQJkE
I second this. I really.like your channel but real life.should be more important. I for one will continue to watch your videos regardless of any delais they are just to excellent to miss
Thank you! Will you ever make a video on the human/local languages: Hallit, Skald and Varisian? I'm playing a character from Brevoy (Kingmaker adventure) and I chose Hallit as a language he knows, as that seemed like a reasonable guess. But where are these "local" languages spoken daily and where can they sometimes be understood?
More language videos are on their way! There are a lot of human languages, many extremely niche, but I’ll try to cover as many as I can. Regarding your character, I think Hallit is the best choice there. In a nutshell, Hallit is a Kellid language most likely (of those three) to be found in Brevoy. Skald is mostly spoken in the far north-west Lands of the Linnorm Kings, and despite being a human language, actually uses Dwarven (i.e. Petran) runes in writing. Varisian is mostly relegated to Varisia far west of Brevoy across the Mindspin Mountains. Hope that’s useful!
With the Remaster Drow were retconned to be a rumor to cover up a greater threat and not actual exist so I found it very amusing the guide bringing them up. As if perfectly reasonable for people in universe to believe they exist.
Indeed, I think the drow were hit hardest by the Remaster changes. They call into question entire APs like Second Darkness. From a lore perspective, it is a bit bemusing, if understandable.
