After watching you install these, this method makes so much more sense. Most people do not install them like this and there were restrictive. I’ve been getting tape ins for years and the thing I dislike the most is how hard it is to wear your hair up and disguising my puffy shoulder length hair. I think I’ve been doing the brick by brick method and it seems like it completely goes against the natural grain of my hair. Can’t wait to try this method.

Gosh I didn't know you could buy tape in extensions I only knew about clip in which are pretty secure. I would of thought the natural oils on your scalp would loosen the tape and it would slip off. Good idea I'm sure they come in wider width as well.

You know I actually wore these for almost 3 weeks and NEVER had major issues like hair reverting . The nape and the very top due to humidity in the shower ! None of them came out even while working out . With tapes it’s possible but shouldn’t be a lot ya know

Using any type of oil will cause the tape to loosen up so it’s not recommended however I use a moisturizing leave in conditioner from shea moisture on my hair and extensions every day without a problem 😊

They are actually one of the safest forms of hair extensions . Now you do want to make sure that you are using an even amount of hair in between each tape to avoid hair breakage .

What’s the difference between doing tape ins on short hair vs longer hair? I came across one stylist who requested that only people with shoulder length hair book that particular service. From this video is looks like you can achieve the look as long as you have some length

Honestly when I was offering tape ins I required clients to have hair at least close to their jaw line so that you had enough hair to cover the tapes when wearing them up and to blend in the front during face framing . It’s a preference. But it does required some decent length for versatility and Blending

I'm new to tape ins so I've been watching vids of people doing it by themselves. My question to you is I've seen so many others say you need to seal the tape ins by using a flat iron, but you didn't. Did yours stay in place the same as it would if you were to seal tape ins with the flat iron?

Some you do and some you don’t but nowadays most extensions do not need to be sealed with heat but you can always check with manufacturers beforehand! 😊

Yes you would have to remove the old tape and apply new tape strips on them . There’s a heating tool that we use now to remove the old tape if it’s too hard to peel off

I’ve had them in for 2 weeks . Tape ins when professionally installed can last up to 8 weeks . Some tape adhesives are stronger than others . This brand of hair is holding up nicely . It is common for some slippage overtime .

The amount is determined by your hair density . The finer your hair is the less bundles you’d be to use . Most installs require 40-80 pieces max . Some people like to use 120 and up for mega volume if their hair allows .

80 is usually the START . 40 pcs will create 20 sandwiches . That wouldn’t be enough unless your hair is super thin and head size not that big .

Yeah every stylist has their preferences . I use to tell my clients at least close to shoulder length in the back and close to jaw line in the front . 12 inches is a bit extreme in my opinion .
